It's rare to see a Western restaurant opened by a Chinese chef. It felt like some dishes incorporated Chinese elements. The prices weren't too expensive, and the food was delicious – truly excellent.

We took a day off work to visit Volpe Nera just before Christmas as it came so highly recommended. It lived up to it. Every dish was perfect, the wine delightful and the service flawless. It is a spot for a leisurely meal. Highly recommend booking ahead.

Absolutely worth leaving central Dublin for. Found this place on Condé Nast and made the 15minute trip down on the dart. It was the first night of the sharing wild Halibut for 2 and was the best fish we have had this year. The fish was brilliantly paired and plenty for two people. The fish was so good the croquettes as a bite and desert could not compare. Great sommelier (€80 bottle of wine and €200 altogether). Proper value for superb quality.

Fitzwilliam Hotel Dublin

13/05/2026: Experience the ultimate Dublin city break at The 5 Star Fitzwilliam Hotel, perfectly positioned on St. Stephen's Green. Known fondly as 'The Fitz,' this destination property sits at the top of Grafton Street, 5 minute stroll to Trinity College; with instant access to Dublin City's best shopping, dining, and cultural gems. Once inside, you're greeted with a warm, genuine welcome that positively reflects this design-led property. Featuring the Michelin-starred Glovers Alley by Chef Andy McFadden, the hotel offers a lovely blend of tradition and modern comforts, with the Luas tram (Dundrum Shopping Centre) line right outside the hotel's door. This has to be Dublin's friendliest and most charming hotel. Enjoy..! ❤️
10/05/2026: The Fitzwilliam Hotel Dublin — Short Enthusiast Overview The Fitzwilliam Hotel Dublin A sleek 5-star design hotel sitting directly on St. Stephen’s Green, The Fitzwilliam is one of Dublin’s most refined modern luxury stays — known for bold contemporary interiors, intimate scale, and one of the best possible city-centre locations in Ireland. Atmosphere Think: Modern boutique luxury with playful design energy, right in the middle of historic Georgian Dublin. It feels less like a traditional grand hotel and more like a stylish urban residence — warm lighting, artistic interiors, and a strong focus on comfort and personality rather than formal grandeur. Why it stands out Directly overlooks St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin’s most famous park Steps from Grafton Street shopping district and major museums Designed with a strong contemporary aesthetic (color, texture, bold interiors) Known for “personalised, high-touch” Irish hospitality rather than corporate feel Regularly considered one of Dublin’s top luxury city hotels Signature experiences 🛏 Rooms designed individually (no two feel identical) with modern Irish luxury styling 🍽 Dining options ranging from relaxed all-day restaurant to upscale Michelin-level experiences nearby 🍸 Stylish lounge and cocktail spaces for evening city atmosphere 🌿 Many rooms with park-view balconies over St. Stephen’s Green 💆‍♂️ Spa-style wellness treatments and gym facilities for city relaxation What enthusiasts love most The unbeatable central location (arguably Dublin’s best hotel address) The contrast of quiet park views vs. energetic city streets Contemporary design with personality (not “standard luxury hotel” feel) Walkability: Trinity College, museums, pubs, and shopping all minutes away Strong service reputation with a friendly, informal luxury tone Style & character Compared to other Dublin luxury hotels: Less historic than The Merrion More playful and modern than The Shelbourne More intimate and design-focused than large chain luxury hotels Best described as: “A modern luxury city hideaway overlooking Dublin’s green heart.” Best for Luxury city breaks in Dublin Shopping + nightlife + culture stays Travelers who prefer modern design over Georgian formality Short high-end stays with maximum walkability Couples and solo travelers who want central, stylish comfort Official site:

Iveagh Bar, menu

22/11/2025: Great bar, friendly and attentive staff. It's nice and comfortable whilst relatively formal but without being stuck up.
12/07/2025: Enes makes a wonderful cocktail. Watching him prepare each drink is truly enjoyable as well. You can tell he takes pride in his craft and takes his time ensuring quality regardless of how busy he is.
