Whelan's in Dublin

Went in here for a few pints, Lovely pint of Guinness considering the place was busy. Great atmosphere

Still one of the best live music venues I visit in Dublin every time I’m up. The atmosphere is always great, and even when there’s a gig or event on, the place never feels too cramped unlike some other venues I’ve been to. Even if you’re not there for the music, it’s still a place you’ll enjoy. Highly recommended 👍

Great Venue for Gigs and easy to get to.

Whelan’s is one of those Dublin venues that has real character the moment you walk in. It feels authentic, full of energy, and has that rare atmosphere that makes a night out feel memorable rather than just ordinary. The best thing about Whelan’s is the vibe. Whether you are there for live music, drinks, or just a relaxed evening with friends, the place has a brilliant buzz. It manages to feel lively and intimate at the same time, which is not easy to get right. There is a genuine charm to the venue, and you can tell it has a strong place in Dublin’s music and nightlife scene. The live music experience is excellent. The sound, setting, and crowd all come together really well, creating an atmosphere that feels personal and full of life. It is the kind of place where you can discover a great act, enjoy a proper night out, and leave feeling like you experienced something uniquely Dublin. The staff were friendly and efficient, even when the venue was busy. Service was smooth, the drinks were good, and everything felt well organised without taking away from the relaxed feel of the place. Overall, Whelan’s is a fantastic Dublin spot with great atmosphere, great music, and a lot of personality. It is not just another pub or venue it has its own identity, and that is what makes it stand out. Definitely worth a visit and absolutely a place I would recommend.

Great place, great atmosphere and I'm not talking about the upstairs venue. The place was nice and quiet at 8pm on a Friday which is really nice for a cozy pint. Great selections of draught beers. I'm a big fan of IPAs and they have 3, two classics and a white haze that was much appreciated. Cozy place on a busy street

Great place for men to gather on Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 12.30.

It is a bar with several distinct concepts. I visited on the weekend; the second-floor beer garden featured a silent disco with headphones, right next to it was a live band performance, downstairs was a regular pub, and next to that was karaoke. It is a place where global locals hang out regardless of age, rather than tourists.
