I loved this venue over the years but I feel like the sound quality is taking a nose dive, feels like it's very distorted, standing in different areas of the dance floor can be a very different experience which is very surprising considering how small the venue is. Base is always very distorted and high end fidelity is missing. They make some quality bookings and I feel like those bookings are let down by the quality of the system.

Absolute class of a place. Staff is very friendly. Fair play to Elliot , he's an absolute legend!! Helped me out to recover my leap card from the dance floor. One of the best spots in Dublin. Has everything.

PROS - Great food, service and vibe. - Varied, delightful menu with Sake tasters. CONS - Unnecessarily expensive for size of portions and quality. Don't get me wrong, the food was excellent. But (some of) the prices are London Michelin star, not Dublin Sushi restaurant. - Large gratuity added (20%). I don't expect this in general from Ireland but from a premium Japanese restaurant it's an especially bad look in my opinion. Removing a star.

Good nightclub, we had part of nice house club music. The sound system is amazing, lovely Japanese beer and friendly staff.

I visited Yamamori for a Sake Tasting masterclass, so a bit of a special event. The location is very interesting but also a bit confusing: dark, with nice decorations on the walls but also posters around dancing, which is not what you would expect from a place where one has dinner. I think it makes for a pretty cool location for dancing though! We had 5 courses paired with 5 different sakes while the host told us facts and anecdotes about the rice drink. The first course was a bit underwhelming as it was edamame. Good but standard. I was then later delighted to find unagi prepared that way. The only place I have found in Ireland so far that serves it! I loved the takoyaki, I already had it twice before, one in Osaka and one in Tokyo and both times I had found them just meh. Yamamori one instead was delicious. Very interesting the Katsuo tataki. One for those who loved smoked food. Finally the icecream mixed with the Umeshu was a great final sweet treat. I appreciated that at the end of the meal we were all given a parting gift with Japanese food products. Will definitely go back again to try a "normal" dinner! ADD: we went back for a jazz night and found the music to be of very good quality. We had 2 cocktails and found the particularly tasty. We were impressed by the food that was rich and yet we couldn't taste every individual ingredient. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Glashaus Hotel

11/06/2026: Glaushaus is very handy for Tallaght hospital or the Reeves centre. The rooms are clean with TV and tea making facilities. Ate in the bar and the food was inedible. Service was very poor and despite our 2 dishes uneaten we were not even asked if everything was ok.
01/06/2026: Our room was not cleaned, when we mentioned this they didn't believe us, so they came up to check, of course they apologized afterwards and we got a new room, but still. We had breakfast packed because our plane left early, but we shouldn't have because it was pretty poor (water, yogurt, dry oat bars, dry bread, butter).

Vicar Street

22/09/2023: Good atmosphere but cost of beverages is ridiculous. €18.50 I was charged for two vodkas with mixers which was extortionate and disappointing from the venue.
14/09/2023: Saw James Acaster on 11 September. Small prosecco bottle is €8. Seats on balcony have a ledge to put Drinks. Back row is standing. Good experience overall.
