Delicious, authentic food. Very friendly staff explains the available options to the uninitiated. You can compose your own malatang from available ingredients or choose one of the ready-made proposals. I also recommend very tasty baozi. There were a lot of Asian customers in the restaurant, which says a lot about the quality of the local cuisine. Large portions, you can easily eat your fill.

Authentic place with a great hot pot! I recommend choosing the ingredients on your own, they have a very large variety and everything we tried was delicious. If you don't want to choose it yourself you can also get a set. Keep in mind that even the non-spicy broth is mildly spicy. The place is not big and tables are quite close to each other which is the only minus but it does create a homely feeling

Absolutely the best food I’ve had in Dublin! Yang Guo Fu Malatang is incredibly authentic – it tastes just like in China. The service was also fantastic: the staff was super friendly and helped us with our order, which made the experience even better. A huge thank you! Highly recommended.

This is a malatang restaurant where you can choose the ingredients yourself. When the owner is present, you can also request something more spicy. Discounts are also available if the price exceeds 15 euros. I went twice and it was good both times. The sauce bar is small, but I like that it has peanut sauce.

This is without a doubt my favourite restaurant in Dublin. I get so excited just by thinking of coming here for a bowl of noodles. The noodles are incredible and the staff is always super friendly. Best noodles in town!

10/03/2025: What a quaint, neat, little place to stop. We were near this wonderful little place to meet our tour guide but had come about an hour early so we wanted to go and enjoy a nice coffee while we waited. The ambiance in this little place is absolutely wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a small place, so keep that in mind, but they also have a very nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy a meal, a cup of coffee or a great glass of wine.
13/02/2025: Fantastic food combined with excellent, friendly service. First time at Chez Max and it was an extremely enjoyable experience.
