07/12/2025: Lovely local food parlor with loads of nice stuff, reasonably priced with friendly staff

09/08/2025: The Crusty Corner. Small, unassuming… and yet, within seconds of walking in, I was dangerously close to ordering a breakfast roll. In the end, I went for something a bit more… engineered. A roll stacked with thick slices of hot breaded chicken, creamy egg mayo, and jalapeños with enough heat to keep things interesting. My girlfriend chose chicken mayo with soft, herby stuffing — essentially Sunday lunch you can eat with one hand. Mine was magnificent. The breaded chicken had a crunch that could be heard three tables away, with the meat inside still hot and juicy. The jalapeños provided just the right amount of aggression, calmed down perfectly by the egg mayo. Hers was cool, savoury, and comfort in bread form. She eats like a mouse, so naturally I finished it for her. And then… dessert. Because I’m still a fat kid at heart, I needed cake — carrot cake. Fresh, soft, and glorious. A touch too sweet, thanks to sugar hiding at the bottom, but I didn’t care. The roll-and-water deal was a bargain, and I left with jars of strawberry jam and thick-cut marmalade for my parents. No regrets, no shame, and yes — I needed a bag to carry my spoils.

13/12/2025: They charge 10% service charge but don't mention it anywhere on menu card. Their payment machine give option of 12%, 20%, 25%, none. After tipping 12% coz overall experience was underwhelming, when I asked for bill, then got to know about built-in service charge of 10%. Had I known about service charge, which is basically tip by default, I would have chosen no additional tip. It's not about just money. It's about feeling deceived. 500ml still water bottle for €4.5 is too much. By the way, highly overpriced (€22 main course dishes with for average taste, quantity), passable service, Below average setup and atmosphere. Won't recommend.

02/12/2025: Placed an order online at 7pm.Got a message to say at 7.50pm there was an issue to call the restuarant.Did so and was told driver should be with us in 15mins. 30mins pass and called the restaurant and was told by the girl that she had checked and the order is sitting there ready for collection. 8.30 phoned again and told food would be with us in 10 minutes. I called the restaurant at 9pm and was told they had not spoken to us previously.She then hung up the phone twice.I called back and asked to speak to a manager as we had placed and order for €144 and wanted a refund at that stage. I was told by the manager that they did not have our order that it was a technical issue. I asked for an email with a receipt proving they had refunded the order after 5 phone calls and 2 hours later on a Saturday night there was alot of hungry and dissapointed people. He then emailed the receipt with the order and the refund so clearly there was no techincal issue. So not really sure why we were being lied to all night. Really bad customer service. I have ordered here alot and sometimes the food was slow but never this kind of issue. I was told there would be a follow up apology email and none was recieved. Please do not take orders and money off people and then lie repeatedly on the phone. Would not be going back to Koyla again based on this experience.

29/10/2025: Got a pizza just now it was amazing really appreciate the work that guy done on this pizza

03/10/2025: We ordered milkshakes that were runny and watery when a milkshake is supposed to be think not runny. We then told them it was to runny we were ignored. We called them after my sister drinking one and her stomach being in bits from it the rest of us didn’t drink it and the manager hung up the phone on us. Horrible customer service.

03/10/2025: I just want to say a huge thank you to Carmen and her staff in the Ivy Restaurant in Dunboyne castle for our lovely Retirement lunch today. We were a large group of 24 people and the staff were so attentive to us and catered for all our needs. The lovely gesture of the gorgeous desert you gave to our Retiree was so thoughtful. We appreciated everything and really enjoyed the afternoon Thank you so much Jean Gallagher

21/07/2025: The service is amazing the place is unreal, but the food is not nice, not tasty small portion, I ordered the salmon black risotto was horrible, no tasty the risotto was hard, my partner ordered pasta with the same problem! The hotel is amazing spa aswell, nothing to complain about it, only the restaurant unfortunately!
