The best restaurants in Ratoath

10/01/2025: Best chipper there is. We come from Ashbourne to get it even tho we have already have loads to choose from in Ashbourne, none are as good. The staff are always so friendly and the food is consistently good, no matter how busy they are. Fair play to everyone working there, they always get it spot on!

13/10/2024: We had eaten here a few times, just wanted a toastie. Food was tasty, but the portion was small , I ordered chips , it was tiny about 10 skinny chips . My wife had chicken bap , and it was also tasty. Again very small portion. The cost incl 2 teas cost €35. I queried the owner about size of portion, in particular chips . She said it was not raised before ,€4.50 for 10 skinny chips is excessive. I believe the owner has now retired. I was disappointed because We had always found portion size and taste very good.

23/01/2025: If Carlsberg made sandwiches..........it would be Ratoath's PICNIC's Sandwiches....probably the best sandwich I have ever tasted in my life. I recently had the" greedy goat Picnic sandwich" and I reluctantly had to share it with my Mum. She informed me it was big enough for two.......... and be that as it may; it was definitely not enough for me and left me wanting more.......I have now added PICNIC as my number 1 go-to-order sandwich platter for birthday parties & office parties/conferences. They are reliable, predictable & most importantly delicious.

29/01/2025: I stopped off here as I saw they served Ariosa coffee. I knew as soon as I lifted the cup my cappuccino was not going to be good. Such a pity,it seems like a nice place but at €4.20 a cup,it's an expensive coffee and should be better.

23/11/2024: Ordered a chicken kebab last night.. you would not call it a kebab the chicken was just a fillet not even cut up thrown between pitta bread. Absolute joke

The warmth of their amazing fireplace immediately set the tone for a cozy and relaxing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It’s clear this is a place that takes pride in its hospitality. Whether you’re looking for a post-show drink or a welcoming spot to unwind, the Ratoath Inn is a gem. We’ll definitely be back!

28/12/2024: My preferred Chinese take away. I have never had any issues with the food or service. I recently had an issue with an online order, my fault not the restaurant. And they went out of their way to resolve my issue and sent another driver with the required replacement. Very much appreciated and grateful for their assistance. Food enjoyed by all.

07/12/2024: Ordering there for years and yrs. Used to be the best takeaway in the village. Unfortunately it has changed recently and flavours are not the same anymore. For example, my favourite starter chicken wings with garlic, chilli and salt - good price and a takeaway box full of yummy wings- I used to order an extra hot portion, wings were fresh, not covered in a thick dough but lovely and moistured by fresh onions, fresh chillies and garlic, extra hot had African chillies added and the dish was absolutely amazing. Ordered it today after a while and got few bits of wings covered in a thick dry red dough, all flavoured with powders like chilli and garlic. You would not be able to see fresh chillies in it anymore. Onions were also not fresh but a frozen mix of onions, sweet peppers and carrots! The usual mix u can find in any Thai restaurant lately...packed in a small paper box....for a higher than usual price...sad to see something good like that gone that bad, flavours and dishes matching all other takeaways in the area...I understand the price has gone up but the way of serving and cooking should not have to change as it was great. Pls bring our old Thai Yummy back as it was one in a million before it became one like million!

12/01/2025: Couldn't say enough about the Taj Palace. Food, staff and atmosphere are fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend at all. Without a doubt a great restaurant for all size parties.

02/12/2024: If I could give zero stars for service I would. Ordered food online for collection..order to be collected at 5pm..at 5.45pm food was eventually ready. Its a joke ran by kids. Not my first time getting food there so I can say its not a once off. Get better staff!!! LEARN THE HAPCCP CODES STAFF!!! How this places hasn't been inspected also is shocking...its a disgrace NEVER AGAIN
