The best restaurants in Ratoath

13/10/2024: We had eaten here a few times, just wanted a toastie. Food was tasty, but the portion was small , I ordered chips , it was tiny about 10 skinny chips . My wife had chicken bap , and it was also tasty. Again very small portion. The cost incl 2 teas cost €35. I queried the owner about size of portion, in particular chips . She said it was not raised before ,€4.50 for 10 skinny chips is excessive. I believe the owner has now retired. I was disappointed because We had always found portion size and taste very good.

20/09/2024: Really enjoyed the streak baguette from here today Came with really fresh salad and also really fresh chips home made will definitely be back

16/11/2024: Best ariosa coffee in Ratoath by far. Excellent pizzas on Saturday. Gets a lovely crowd.

07/11/2024: Pizzas offered on a friday. Limited pastries but they are always delicious. Dogs welcome inside with pup cups and treats for doggies. my dog cant walk by without going in and gets the hump when its closer 😂

10/11/2024: Please leave CASH tips only for the drivers!!! As macaris keep all online tips for themselves which is disgraceful, that tip is meant for the driver delivering my food!

23/11/2024: Ordered a chicken kebab last night.. you would not call it a kebab the chicken was just a fillet not even cut up thrown between pitta bread. Absolute joke

02/12/2024: If I could give zero stars for service I would. Ordered food online for collection..order to be collected at 5pm..at 5.45pm food was eventually ready. Its a joke ran by kids. Not my first time getting food there so I can say its not a once off. Get better staff!!! LEARN THE HAPCCP CODES STAFF!!! How this places hasn't been inspected also is shocking...its a disgrace NEVER AGAIN

09/11/2024: Absolute disaster of a place, couldn’t leave a Zero review unfortunately, waiting nearly 2 hours on a delivery, phoned and told it was in the car on route and phoned back 20 mins later to be told they had no order from us, service and approach were horrendous!! When talking to the manger, the reply was “What do you want me to do about it!” Food is very good but current managing staff unfortunately letting them down massively!!

09/11/2024: Ordered a delivery and was told it would be 40 mins, rang after 1hr and told it was out for delivery,still no food after 20 more mins so rang back and said they had no records of our order, spoke to manager and she was extremely rude,!!! “What do you want me to do about it “ was her reply. This is not the first time we have waited over an hour for delivery, for very average food! not worth ordering from!!

07/12/2024: Ordering there for years and yrs. Used to be the best takeaway in the village. Unfortunately it has changed recently and flavours are not the same anymore. For example, my favourite starter chicken wings with garlic, chilli and salt - good price and a takeaway box full of yummy wings- I used to order an extra hot portion, wings were fresh, not covered in a thick dough but lovely and moistured by fresh onions, fresh chillies and garlic, extra hot had African chillies added and the dish was absolutely amazing. Ordered it today after a while and got few bits of wings covered in a thick dry red dough, all flavoured with powders like chilli and garlic. You would not be able to see fresh chillies in it anymore. Onions were also not fresh but a frozen mix of onions, sweet peppers and carrots! The usual mix u can find in any Thai restaurant lately...packed in a small paper box....for a higher than usual price...sad to see something good like that gone that bad, flavours and dishes matching all other takeaways in the area...I understand the price has gone up but the way of serving and cooking should not have to change as it was great. Pls bring our old Thai Yummy back as it was one in a million before it became one like million!
