28/12/2025: Very expensive place to shop definitely won't be back myself as a bag of groceries cost us the bones of €70.
For someone on the road though it might be good stop to grab a few bits.
There's a sushi place inside which is a nice touch, but again very expensive.
Overall not a bad pit stop but definitely not somewhere to do the weekly shop.

02/02/2026: If you would like to suffer from an early heart attack, this is the place for you.
Burger options are stupid. Every single burger we tried somehow managed to out-grease the next. Buns were soggy, everything is covered in a thick layer of oil, and then absolutely splattered with more greasy sauce to cover up the abominations they call burgers. One of the burgers swimming in a pool of watery bbq sauce. Who doesn’t love big wet sloppy burgers that melt right in front of your eyes?
The chips were unsurprisingly also soggy, covered in a layer of more mayo and plastic cheese squares (can’t make a decent cheese sauce?) At this point you don’t even need teeth to eat this stuff, it’s all digested for you by the grease.
Tenders and mozzarella bricks are okay, but not by any means good. Only edible things on the menu, in small amounts.
If you like eating grease with a side of grease, this is the place for you. Also, toilet was absolutely destroyed by some poor soul, no surprise there either!
Serving staff are really nice. Food however is actually laughable.

The food is really nice overall however the batter they use on their fried chicken is really poor. Its chewy, often overcooked, and bland. I order the fried chicken every so often and the result is always the same
Aside from that, their beef burgers, fries and deserts are really nice. Would recommend and we come at least once a month

14/11/2025: Service has been terrible for the last several months taking over two hours for a local delivery and very often wrong when it does arrive. The situation is made worse by the inevitable lies “your order is next out” or the phone just being taken off the hook.

09/01/2026: One of the best takeaways I've had. Staff always in great form. Anything I have ordered has always been excellent, but for me, the Pizza is the number one item on the menu! Definitely worth ordering!
11/11/2025: I decided to get a takeaway last Friday evening as I hadnt prepared anything for dinner. Ordered it at approx 5.30 pm and it arrived about 70 mins later. Couldn't eat it as the chips were competely dry and cold as was the burger. I'm guessing that the takeaway was in the delivery guys car for all that time. Dreadful to think thats acceptable. I emailed them later that evening (7th November) to give them feedback but no responce so hence my decision to publish it.

I wrote this review a few months ago after incredible service from Jake however it has come to my attention that Jake has sadly been let go. Absolutely disappointing to hear as he was an absolute credit to this pub. We at Ratoath Inn miss him very much 😰#bringbackjake

18/09/2025: Got my coffee here couple times, its awhile since I've being back and was shocked to hear 4.20 for flat white i walked out, shameful stuff considering they don't make decent coffee! (PROPER) Plenty places nearby barrista selling flat whites for decent price 3.50 max most are 3.30, also signs up looking for tips and machine automatically looks for tip when paying. The greed

24/10/2025: We order frequently from Taj Palace and the food is very testy. Various dishes are distinct and repeatable when you order them again. High prizes for the chef.
Certainly our favorite Pakistani restaurant after long hiatus from trying any as we were disappointed in the past be other restaurants gradually lowering standards over time to the point there was no point visiting again.
So why 4 starts for food you may ask. That is because on few occasions when ordering midweek takeaway (I am guessing their slow time) the chicken was not as fresh as we would like. Eatable but leaving a lot to be desired.
Go on the weekend. Problem solved like with the touch of a magic wand :)

The service, the food and the banter are second to none, they really have a passion for making great food. Thanks Macari team, see you again next year! Gerald

13/10/2024: We had eaten here a few times, just wanted a toastie. Food was tasty, but the portion was small , I ordered chips , it was tiny about 10 skinny chips . My wife had chicken bap , and it was also tasty. Again very small portion. The cost incl 2 teas cost €35. I queried the owner about size of portion, in particular chips . She said it was not raised before ,€4.50 for 10 skinny chips is excessive. I believe the owner has now retired. I was disappointed because We had always found portion size and taste very good.

Came with really fresh salad and also really fresh chips home made will definitely be back
