The best restaurants in Carrickmacross

31/07/2025: I have ordered a pizza, spaghetti bolognese and carbonara. All extremely salty. Quality of the ham was below acceptable. No herbs, no spices bar salt were used. This used to be an amazing spot with great food. Im extremely disappointed, I was so hungry and excited to try out their take away menu. Ended up throwing it all out.

04/06/2025: After coming across this beautiful Italian restaurant whilst over from England for a family wedding, we were not disappointed. From the meatball starter to the carbonara, which may I say was not on the menu nothing was too much to ask. I’d like to thank this fine establishment for the amazing food and hospitality, a little piece of Italy in Carrickmacross. If I’m back in the area will for sure to be visiting again. Highly recommended to anyone reading this review. Thanks again and see you soon I hope 🤞😊

13/04/2025: I loved everything! The service was wonderful. They made me one of the best sandwiches I've had in my adult life on their beautiful sourdough (excuse the mess I made of it in my photo while eating it!). The matcha latte was great and the bakes were all superb. Lots of nice treats to enjoy here- homemade granola, overnight oats, breads, all sorts of bakes, soup, sandwiches, crisps, preserves... So happy to stop here on my journey ☺️ Thank you ❤️

04/07/2025: Ordered an spice box from here and… well…. What a disappointment. Got one here before was so amazingly good I came back but unfortunately they have changed, and as a person who hates change this just tipped over the edge. Finished the spice box quickly, not because I ate it fast but because there was diddly all in it. About 90% soggy chips and 10% chicken. Had two massive chicken balls which could have been tennis balls. Chicken wings were also in the box and I swear my toe was bigger than one of them. oh, and don’t let me forget, NO SHREDDED CHICKEN? About five bits of onion in it. I know. Horrific. This may seem like a joke to whomever is reading, but I am deadly serious. Deadly. Don’t even get curry with the meal ridic and it was twelve euro. Felt more like eating a crappy lucky bag than a spice box.

22/05/2025: Food was decent overall—pizza was tasty, but nothing particularly memorable. Service was okay, staff were polite but a bit slow. The atmosphere could use some improvement; it felt a bit unwelcoming and even tho the app said my food was ready I was told another 10 minutes after I left and went back I waited another what felt like 4/5 minutes and when I enquired for an update I could hear the guy in the back (with no beard net) sighing and saying "Jesus". Prices were on the average side for what you get. Not bad for a quick bite, but there's definitely room for improvement.

19/04/2025: Alright, I love apache. BUT this new kebab deal IS NOT IT 😭🙏🏽. Idk who brought that idea in, but he should just pack it up and put the chips in the bag cuz this was sad. The size compared to price is just wild. You can go in every single place that sells kebab in the entirety of Ireland and you will still find something better in terms of size/price ratio. That kebab was so dry I was choking after each bite, thankfully enough I had a bottle of water with me. Listen apache guys, just stick with the wonderful pizza. Much love
