Traders Coffee House Navan

22/02/2026: We went here recently to see a production. I have to say it is a great facility. Unfortunately there is no on-site parking but there is a car park close by. Overall very good and I would return again.

Ardboyne Hotel Restaurant
24/02/2026: I’ve been staying at the Ardboyne Hotel for nearly two weeks during a very difficult time in my life while attending a court case. From the moment we arrived, the staff have been nothing short of amazing.
Their kindness, compassion and genuine support have meant more than I can put into words. They have made both myself and my daughter feel safe, welcome and genuinely cared for. It truly feels like a family community here rather than just a hotel.
A very special thank you to Teresa, who checked in with us at the end of each day — that meant more than she probably knows. To Kealy at reception for her constant kindness and reassurance. To Molly at the bar for her warmth and friendliness. To Shirley who sorted out our accommodation and to all of the wonderful staff who have shown such understanding and support throughout our stay.
During a stressful and emotional period, having such thoughtful people around us has made all the difference. We are incredibly grateful — thank you all so much.

02/03/2026: Had a fabulous lunch on 28.02.26. Food was very tasty and staff very nice.
HOWEVER, when we got the bill the daily special turned out to be a rip off!!! when we ordered we were not told the price of the daily specials, Only it was steak Sambo, wrap or broccoli soup.
turned out that our Cajun chicken wrap and a couple of chip... €23.95!!
I would expect a whole chicken, with salad or veg and a full portion of chips. Might I add that their chicken burger with all the trimming is advertised at €18.95
27/02/2026: I was brought here for my birthday by my wife on a thursday. We had a wonderful time. The Guiness was creamy smooth and the food was scrumptious. I had the wings followed by the ribs which were full of taste and nice to have a meal with something other than chips. THe potatos were divine. My wife had chicken tenders which you have to get as the test was different and divine. A must. Lasagne followed which was again excellent. THe staff were polite, efficient and very attentive without being intrusive an John the owner runs a very professional establishment. Special mention for the toilets which were spotless, stocked, bright and smelled fragrant and fresh which is quite rare indeed and very commendable. No photos because we were enjoying ourselves so much. THey have their own dedicated parking which is very handy. Dine here with confidence.

02/02/2026: We were there yesterday 1st February.
The reservation had been done over a week before, and we arrived 5min ahead of time - there was no table ready, so they hastily cleared one up for us.
There were a lot of young waiters going around, looking like they did not know what they were doing! One came to take our order, then another one came over - no communication among them.
Waiting for the starters was not too bad, like half an hour. But then, the main courses did not arrive over an hour after they had cleared the starters! We also had to ask for cutlery for the mains...
All in all, very disappointing service. The food was OK.

13/11/2025: Went in to get a sparkling water to drink with my medication around 11am told the girl I was just charging my phone before I can pay her. She then demanded I pay before I get served a drink 🤣 .. any other bar or restaurant in the town you can order a drink and pay afterwards it’s not like it’s a rough area. Her excuse was shes never seen me before neither have I and lived in the town my whole life. Won’t be back for a long time understand it’s hard to get staff that aren’t rude. Maybe send her for one day at manors school 🏫 probably wouldn’t be enough. Also 2 other staff behind counter wouldnt but in to give me a drink or defend her or me. 3 staff behind a bar 1 man youd think he could get a drink of water nevermind a beer 😭 also said if you have no money i cant serve you basically defaming my character of course i have money i would never go into a bar without money.

27/08/2025: We stopped over to grab a beer on our way back from the Trim Castle. No complaints about the Guinness beer, however the atmosphere was a let down. Radio playing in the background, an infant crying (yes in a pub) and their toilet hygiene was a disaster

21/07/2025: We were staying at the nearby hotel. This was relatively close and an easy walk. We had an enjoyable meal and the service was great.
21/07/2025: Ordered Fish and Chips last Saturday night 19th. Have had this dish on numerous occasions in Slevins. When it arrived the fish was the colour of a brown leather shoe and the batter was of the same consistency! All three people at the table agreed it was inedible so I sent it back. 15/20 minutes later still waiting.
The Manager Michelle told me the Chef thought the batter was a funny colour so was making another one! Finally arrived and it was worse. Not helped by the skin showing through the burnt batter at the back!
The Manager here needs not to adopt such a defensive and rude attitude. I was told.......she tasted the fish and it was fine, nobody else complained and her final insulting parting shot....we would be happy to welcome you again but suggest you don't order the Fish and Chips! Now the staff here are normally extremely pleasant and the food very good. All my friends go there so we were very surprised to be treated in this manner. My companions food was great. The servers were lovely. Will go again but Slevins you need to perhaps arrange further training here. Customers matter and good customer service is essential for any business.

02/06/2025: I ordered a panini, they sold me a bread roll. They tried to lie to me and say it was a panini, but the ingredients were not panini, but a bread roll. They lied to me, but I was a chef for over 20 years, so they lied to the wrong person. Also the chicken they served was gine off. I gave it back to them and they charged me the full price. If you want fresh decent food go into Navan Town Centre and use the sandwich bar there instead. It is much cleaner with much better food
