This was a lovely 3 night stay in May 2026. We were pampered with great rooms, spa facility, dining, and wonderful service. The surrounding grounds with rolling hillside, relics and graveyard were wonderful to explore after dinner.
We had the good fortune to have Les from the Dining area spend time with us mapping out our travels with inside tips for Killarney and Dingle. He truly made a difference in our experience and will always be grateful to him.
I highly recommend Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa!

π Dreamy, enchanting view
Imagine waking up in a soft king-size bed as the morning mist spreads over the lakes of Killarney. You open the curtains and see the emerald mountains still reflected in the blue water. Downstairs, the aroma of fresh pastries and Irish coffee fills the elegant lounge while soft piano music echoes through the hotel. My two close friends and I wanted to get away from Dublin for a short relaxing break somewhere with a nice view, a spa, and a pool β and we had a wonderful experience at the Aghadoe Heights Hotel and Spa.
We stayed for just one night, but it was truly relaxing and very rewarding. I especially loved the sauna area β they have three great saunas β and the pools were excellent too. The indoor pool and the warm pool were perfect, especially because the weather was very rainy during our stay, so it was great to still enjoy the facilities comfortably.
The rooms are very spacious, the cleanliness of the hotel is excellent, and towels were always replenished. The reception staff were fantastic, and from check-in to the luggage assistance and the restaurant team, everyone was very welcoming and professional.
We only had breakfast there, but it was delicious. There was a great variety of fruits, porridge, juices, and hot food options as well.
Our room had a beautiful lake view, which made the stay even more special. The city itself is also lovely, with many parks to walk around and explore.
The hotel also has a gym, which is good to have. I think the gym could benefit from some newer equipment in the future, but honestly this didnβt affect our overall experience at all.
We really had a very relaxing stay and I definitely recommend this hotel if you want to take a break from routine and enjoy some time to rest. For us, it was absolutely worth the price. πΏπ§ββοΈπ¨β¨

Aghadoe Heights is an absolutely beautiful spot and well worth the visit. The views are stunning, especially when the clouds clear and you can really take in the scenery. Being so close to Irelandβs highest peaks makes it feel even more special. The setting is incredibly picturesque. On top of that, the desserts were easily the highlight, truly delicious and memorable.

Few hotel views in all of Ireland rival what you experience from Aghadoe Heights, perched on its elevated ridge with the three Killarney lakes and the MacGillycuddy's Reeks spread across the entire horizon before you. I have stayed at fine hotels across Europe and North America throughout my business career, and this Kerry gem consistently earns its place among the very best. The view from my room stopped me completely on arrival β I stood at the window for a full ten minutes before I could bring myself to unpack. That is the power of this landscape, and Aghadoe Heights frames it as beautifully as any hotel I have encountered. The Heights Bar and its panoramic terrace is one of the great places to spend an Irish evening β Kerry whiskey in hand, the sun dropping behind the Reeks, the lakes turning gold below. Lake Room restaurant impressed me with its modern Irish cooking: Cromane mussels, Annascaul black pudding, Kerry mountain lamb of remarkable quality. The spa is excellent, the pool views extraordinary, and the sense of calm that descends over this property as the day ends is genuinely restorative. For anyone with Kerry blood or Kerry connections β and my grandmother's family were pure Kerry β Aghadoe Heights is a deeply personal and deeply satisfying place to stay. Magnificent.
