Delicious, authentic Italian food. My wife forgot her sweater here, and the staff were so helpful holding onto it and making sure we got it back.

We ate dinner here on the 23/11/24, food was lovely and delicious. Service was decent at beginning however once we had finished eating we asked for the bill and were clearly forgotten about. Asked the same server again and he continued to serve another table and bring other tables their bill. We then asked another member of staff for the bill, who continued to go inside and serve others. After asking a fourth time and the server coming back out to clean tables decided to go inside to pay and told staff we had been waiting 40 minutes to pay and had asked for bill 4 times. No apology given by staff. Experience left a sour taste on what was a lovely meal. If only servers wore name tags…. Update/Edit: they seem to give the same response to all negative reviews, therefore is not uncommon for them to receive negative feedback, and they don’t seem to be taking steps to fix any issues.

I’ve been wanting to visit this place for years, and I was excited to finally get the chance. The location is fantastic, and the interior has a nice charm to it. It’s a bit noisy, and the tables are quite close together, which made it slightly uncomfortable, but it didn’t ruin the experience. The food was decent—perhaps not extraordinary, but the prices are better than many other places in Dublin, which is a definite plus. The staff were friendly overall, although they forgot a glass of wine I ordered. Instead of following up, we chose to move on to dessert. I had high expectations for the tiramisu, but it didn’t quite live up to them—it was fine, just not remarkable. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, though it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression.

I super recommend, the food was awesome, pizza, bruscheta and Nutella Calzone(this was the best for me)

Al Vesuvio is a charming, small Italian restaurant in the Temple Bar area, offering a cozy atmosphere. The pizza and pasta are particularly delicious and provided a welcome change from the heavy meat dishes we had eaten earlier. The food was so good that we ended up dining there twice. The staff was also very friendly and enjoyed that we could speak a little Italian.
