Allingham Arms Hotel in Bundoran

Difficult to rate accurately. We only stayed one night. However, there's a clear need for renovation. On the way through the dark hallway to our first room, I remarked to my wife that it looked more like a two-star hotel. And that's exactly how the room felt. After an upgrade, we got a room with a sea view in a renovated section. Breakfast was okay. I'd advise against booking the brightly colored rooms. It was still okay for one night, but lacked a welcoming atmosphere.

Stayed for 4 nights last week and we were very happy. The manager on the day we arrived was amazing, she went out of her way to be welcoming, friendly and gave fantastic recommendations on places to visit and see. So too Sandra on reception. Our room was very comfortable and the morning staff cleaning and re stocking rooms were great and very friendly with a big hello and good morning. Breakfast was good with a good selection of food. Morning breakfast staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The location is excellent.

Brilliant hotel great staff one drawback is the E.V. Charging points don't work ,all but one

We had food here last Monday 29th December in the front bar/lounge across the road from the bay. Absolutely superb. Food was excellent, great value for money and service was extremely fast for our large group of 17 diners. We had not booked in advance, and our arrival of such a large group was handled efficiently, professionally and we were made to feel most welcome. A worthy alternative to The Bridge Bar, where we would normally dine over Christmas while at home in Fermanagh/Donegal visiting relatives. Well done!
