22/08/2026: A lovely restaurant with delicious food. The curries are very good with plenty of flavour. Relaxed, staff are friendly, easy-going atmosphere and a nice place to for either a take out, or sit in.

09/08/2026: Quality of the food is excellent, mussels for the starter, delicious, and a geneous portion to boot,for my main I had one of the best stakes here, that i had in a long time it was a generous portion and cooked to perfection (medium rare) Kids were very happy with their dinner and deserts, expect it to be busy because the word is out good food and service great good value for you hard earned money.Highly recommended.

28/07/2026: Experience was terrible first we came in as a family early moved are tables close to be told we can't we have to move so we did we were then sitting eating drinking watching horse racing then a large family came out way the ,the waitress said can u move we were confused the man with the other party said there sitting there she waved her hand said I know ! And moved us away were we couldn't watch the racing as tvs were behind us so we are packing and moving to drink elce we're so disappointed the lady was soo rude all day I'm assuming she's manager as she took control of other girl with dark hair she was polite and very respectful we will not be bk

30/06/2026: We were here today. The name and pictures in the window bear no resemblance to what we got. At the entrance to the restaurant, there are beautiful photos of grilled meat. We asked for grilled steak. Look what they brought us. And for that, 25 euros? If you want real grilled meat, this place will definitely disappoint you. Why put such a pretty picture at the entrance if you don't cook it in the kitchen?
21/06/2026: Me and my fiancé ate here this evening, the staff were so pleasant, the service was brilliant and so fast and the food was excellent and not expensive at all. I couldnt fault anything with this establishment. Will most definitely be back when ever we are in town again.

07/07/2025: Came here recently for dinner based on word of mouth recommendations. Staff were friendly, and the food and drink tasted good. Choice was a little limited for non-meat eaters though.

24/07/2026: We always go to Maddens at least once every summer when we are up in Sligo on holidays. It’s some we enjoy going as a family.
We were seated in the heated terrace out side at the front of the bar which was pleasant.
Looking trough the menu the starter were interesting as always, we got the beef croquettes, pork belly and chicken thigh all of which were nice.
We struggled to pick something from the main menu as they were not that inspiring. I got the burger and chips as did my son and my wife got the chicken parmigiana. Burger was nice, but thought was small for 23€ and the portion of chips that came with it was was small. Nice place but it’s getting a bit expensive for a casual night out. Service was good.

Allingham Arms Hotel

14/06/2026: Difficult to rate accurately. We only stayed one night. However, there's a clear need for renovation. On the way through the dark hallway to our first room, I remarked to my wife that it looked more like a two-star hotel. And that's exactly how the room felt. After an upgrade, we got a room with a sea view in a renovated section. Breakfast was okay. I'd advise against booking the brightly colored rooms. It was still okay for one night, but lacked a welcoming atmosphere.
13/06/2026: Stayed for 4 nights last week and we were very happy.
The manager on the day we arrived was amazing, she went out of her way to be welcoming, friendly and gave fantastic recommendations on places to visit and see.
So too Sandra on reception.
Our room was very comfortable and the morning staff cleaning and re stocking rooms were great and very friendly with a big hello and good morning.
Breakfast was good with a good selection of food. Morning breakfast staff were friendly, courteous and helpful.
The location is excellent.
