The best restaurants in Bundoran

27/04/2025: If you like your restaurants for the ambiance, this place has lovely service and a charming (if a bit dated) vibe. If you like restaurants for the food, this place is not for you. The starters were disgusting and the mains were fine. I got prawn cocktail and it was defrosted prawn with some sauce slapped on to make this wet goo. My husband got baked camembert and deep fried with the rind so all you could taste was the rind. It was unpalatable. For mains, I got hake (thinking seafood would be class because Bundoran is by the sea). Again, it had crushed frozen prawn on top for what I'm guessing is for texture because it wasn't for taste. The sauce and the hake were average. My husband got "carbonara" but it's just creamy veggie pasta. He said it was okay, but he was getting tired of it midway. I was really looking forward to coming here with my husband on a very rare date night and was severely disappointed. If it wasn't for the buzz of being able to have a night out, I would give this a one star in a heartbeat.

28/03/2025: Very Central Location in Bundoran. I did not use the accommodation but went to the pub frequently instead in my recent visit. Loved the atmosphere in the pub itself

25/03/2025: Zan zam special kebab with no extra chilli sauce. Spicy enough with the marinade absolutely gorgeous! Excellent value for money too. My God to for a kebab and I've yet to try pizzas but always heard great things

02/04/2025: I was in Bundoran for a few days playing music and stumbled across this café on the first day. The food was excellent and the service 2nd to none. I didn't have lunch anywhere else the entire time I was in the town 😂. Was looked after very well, and can't wait to come back.

17/04/2025: I was watching the Minecraft movie today and I had a very bad experience me and my cousin and my friend were looking for my money that we lost and then a women approached us and started yelling in our face and my friends ear and that moment traumatised us and the second we went in to the car we started crying our eyes out and my friend has special needs so he was so scared and traumatised us I don’t think I will be back soon…

17/04/2025: Just got done with watching the Minecraft movie with my twin sister, cousins, younger siblings and their friend. All was well until my cousin and younger brother and their friend had noticed they lost a fiver, they panicked and went to the boy’s toilets, found the fiver, made their way back up the stairs when a blonde woman with heavy makeup proceeded to follow these 3 young boys who are all 10 and under. She then started to shout in their faces which frightened them, I ran down to see what was going on, she told me they were messing which if they were, it still gave her no right to approach them, she was pointing in their faces and screamed so loud into one of the boys ears that his ears started to ring. I work in hospitality and I would get fired if I ever approached a child the way she did, yes they most definitely were misbehaving a little bit but there was two adults present and she should have came to either myself or my sister. The children started to cry their eyes out the second they got into the car, not to mention one of the boys is special needs so it traumatised him. The children and myself are also very embarrassed as this happened directly infront of the screen infront of whomever was watching the movie. Been going to this cinema for years and I have never had an experience like this.

31/12/2024: Very friendly clientele and staff, nice local pub. Super tasty Guinness too. Unfortunately the fire was half dead on arrival and wasn’t relit even after asking the bartender. Not a huge deal, but of course a warm fire is always welcome on cold, Irish days with a Guinness.

09/05/2025: Really nice food - good choice of meat, fish and veggie dishes. Generous portions and friendly staff. Very fresh ingredients cooked to order. Highly recommended!

23/04/2025: the atmosphere was very friendly, food was great the portion was perfect for the price. Our waiter was very friendly and gave us a complementary meal. I was 100 percent recommend if your in Bundoran.

06/04/2025: Stopped in during a road trip. 2 fantastic Zinger Tower burgers and a bargain bucket were world class. Lovely staff. My wife needed a poo when we arrived and found the toilets to be spotless and fresh smelling.

08/05/2025: The hotel is grand but the food is a disaster. I paid almost €18 for a vegetarian burger which was nothing more than a microwaved patty from a frozen packet. And the cheese not even cut from a block of melted just pulled from a packed and slapped on cold. Not even a quality meat substitute but the cheapest most over priced meal I’ve ever seen. Photo attached. The fire escape plan was hanging off the bedroom door awkwardly as it had been hung off centre which just spoke to the general care of the place. The pillows well you might as well have folded your ears in half and slept on those. And the mattress was clearly made in the same factory as the pillows because you’d have thought you were lying on the floor it was so thin. I only just saw this place is supposed to be for stars. Out of 10? Who’s giving away free stars like children’s stickers. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the place was very clean and tidy but I wouldn’t stay again.
