Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran

Stay here in room 132 for 3 nights with a bus tour I found the staff friendly and especially the front reception lady called Alana The room was spacious and a lovely sea view The food was excellent dinner and breakfast We had entertainment in the lounge for the 3 nights unfortunately I missed one of the nights as I was I’ll Overall I enjoyed my stay and I will be back when the opportunity arises

I stayed there in March 24 with my dad, my daughter and my sister. The staff are so friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The hotel is being done up at the moment and the new touches are fabulous. The reception area looks so good and the lobby is very comfortable. My only complaint was the double bed mattress . It was very uncomfortable and flimsy. I have a bad back and I tossed and turned all night. I hope these will be changed as part of the refurbishment. I’d like to give a mention to the young girl behind the bar. I can’t remember her name but she has long black hair. She is so friendly and has a great personality and nothing is too much trouble. I can’t wait to go back. Overall it was a great experience. Karen Cavan

I spent a lovely weekend here, the facilities were amazing and the bar food was gorgeous.

Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Clean, well maintained rooms. The food is well presented and tasty too. The Great Northern Hotel ranks high on the long list of hotels I've stayed in. I definitely recommend it and I plan on returning again.

A fabulous hotel hidden away off the main road. Classic old hotel with so much character. I dont want to share too much as it may get booked out!

Hotel is not worthy of a 4* and i am not critical. The hotel was freezing cold all throughout. Our bedroom was freezing and quite dated. Had to ask for an electric heater for our room which stayed on for the duration of our stay and our radiator in the room was warm. Food in restaurant was good, but breakfast was so limited and buffet was cold. Barman was friendly and so were the girls in restaurant. So disappointed in our stay. When checking out we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay or if everything was ok but i just told the girl about our experience and all she said was sorry i will let them know. Could write a lot more.

Just had our Christmas party there, and we had an excellent night. Great food and service and excellent staff well done

Had lovely Christmas lunch here as part of Active Age group recently. Food was great and staff were lovely and very attentive. Service was prompt, could not fault this place. Our meal was followed by live music and dancing. Perfect day all round.

Weather was bad but had a good time dancing in the ballroom

Wouldn't class hotel as 4 star. More 3 star. Breakfast very poor. 2 out of 10 for Breakfast.
