Maddens Bridge Bar in Bundoran

Delicious food overlooking the Atlantic at Bundoran's best restaurant

We always go to Maddens at least once every summer when we are up in Sligo on holidays. It’s some we enjoy going as a family. We were seated in the heated terrace out side at the front of the bar which was pleasant. Looking trough the menu the starter were interesting as always, we got the beef croquettes, pork belly and chicken thigh all of which were nice. We struggled to pick something from the main menu as they were not that inspiring. I got the burger and chips as did my son and my wife got the chicken parmigiana. Burger was nice, but thought was small for 23€ and the portion of chips that came with it was was small. Nice place but it’s getting a bit expensive for a casual night out. Service was good.

The food was absolutely delicious and the view was amazing! We lived in Spain for 2 years and the croquettes were top notch. We will be back.

We went for dinner, the meal was great (fantastic mussels), and the service was perfect. Thank you to the whole team. One of the top restaurants we tried on our trip to Ireland ☘️

Decent food. The ham hock pie was exceptional, however some of the portions are absolutely shocking for the price you pay. One thing I would personally mark Maddens down for as it effected some of our group would be the lack of vegetarian options, many other local restaurants have full vegetarian sections on the menu, here unfortunately doesn’t. Another thing would be they split our group up (8pax) between two tables. One up stairs, one down stairs as they stated there was no room. Yet there was many tables around up stairs that would have took 30 seconds to push together. But they weren’t willing to do so. Would I go back, maybe for drinks but I feel there would certainly be better options for food in the town.

Really pleased with out impromptu stop here on a drive home! Absolutely delicious food and great service!!! Views are excellent too!
