allta in Dublin

Interesting menu, great variety on the tasting menu, excellent presentation and quality food. A very different Restaurant experience. Great night out.

Allta is my fave spot to dine in Dublin. I visited the place so many times over the years and it never disappoints! The creativity of Niall - owner and head chef is beyond anything! And it’s not only food which is excellent! Always made with care to ingredients and season. With attention to the smallest detail. Flavours combinations are very often bold and excellent in contrast to so many places which are quite plain. We dined with allta at home during covid, in Slane Castle, in the parking, in their permanent venue in Docklands and in Casteruddery farm and enjoyed the experience every single time. And most of all you see love to hospitality and work in every single member of staff. Knowledgable, inspiring and passionate sommeliers, waiters, chefs. Always a pleasure to visit them!

We had beautiful, delicious food here. Maybe the nicest meal we’ve had. The menu is full of wonderful tastes and combinations focusing on Irish food. Lovely service and setting.

Here's the English translation: "Beautiful place with a great atmosphere and service. The starters are good. I liked the lobster starter, but it was quite small. The T-bone steak was tasty but quite cold. We asked for it to be reheated, and they brought it back with hot gravy on top. That’s not what I expect from a place of this level with high prices."

I rarely post a review, however Alta provides you and experience where you simply need to share it. All vegetables, meat and fish are so fresh and all locally sourced. So if you want to try Irish produce here you go. We went for the menu experience and especially enjoyed the fresh shell fish, lobster with strawberries, and umami experiences from the chefs experience in fermentation. For the main I went for the Irish steak - incredible tender - while my wife asked for an vegetarian option (no problem) which was a plate mixed of homemade ravioli, mushrooms, artichoke and much more - probably one of the best dishes we have ever had. Allta has a great atmosphere, attentive service, and nice cocktails and wine list. Thank you for a wonderful and fun night by the water!!

I came for the two course lunch service and was delighted by the experience. It comes with a flight of snacks, and you can choose your choice of a starter and main. The oyster and beignet snack had a nice punch of flavor, but the salad and laminated brioche, outside of presentation, lacked much taste. The lobster, and rib chop were phenomenal though, each paired with a sauce that playfully brought out the flavors of the protein. The proteins were perfectly cooked, tender and a delight to the taste buds.

Allta is an absolute treat! Having been to their temporary restaurant in Trinity Carpark a few years ago, I was delighted to try their more permanent abode. The food is delicious, every bite is carefully crafted. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, and the room is lovely. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend!
