Food fabulous - as it has been consistently for the past 10 years. I always order the lamb shank which is so tender the meat falls off the bone. Understand that this is more of an upmarket Indian restaurant, with slightly smaller portions at a higher price, and a quieter ambience. We were offered a glass of prosecco for mother's day as we entered, which later appeared on our bill. Management apologised and immediately removed it - but this seemed cynical to me, which is the only reason I've deducted a star.

Food was quite good, quantity a bit less. It was my wife's birthday so I asked them for a birthday surprise dessert. They brought it, but I later figured that they charged me only for it. And it was for €11! Neither have I ever nor would I have ordered a dessert so expensive! I asked them for a surprise...didn't think I'll only have to pay for it!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever tried in Dublin. It’s our go-to for special occasions and the dining experience is truly surreal. The food is bursting with flavour and the staff are incredibly courteous and helpful.

Absolutely gorgeous food, very attentive and polite service. I have eaten at the sister restaurant in Dalkey but believe this is even better

The ambience wouldn’t be my first choice. It leans more lively than intimate — fairly loud, with several families dining and no background music to soften the noise. The décor is dominated by deep red tones, which gives it a heavier, less refined feel than I expected for a fine-dining setting. Service had a few small blips. When we arrived, we were told our table wasn’t ready and were directed to the lounge, only for another waiter to come over moments later, confused, saying a table was actually available. The staff were friendly throughout, but our drinks order was also forgotten and needed a reminder. That said, the food is where the restaurant truly shines. I started with the scallops, followed by king prawns with curry leaf and coconut, and finished with the chocolate crémeux. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The scallops, in particular, were cooked perfectly — tender, delicate, and easily the standout of the meal. Overall, while the atmosphere and service could be smoother, the quality of the cooking alone makes it worth a visit.

Exceptional Dining Experience A truly outstanding visit. The chef’s expertise is evident in every detail. The scallops and jumbo prawn starter with apricot salsa was sublime. The seafood platter was superb, and the house-made cheese & chili naan was a highlight. What made the evening extra special was the incredibly thoughtful gesture for my friend’s birthday—having her name translated onto the dessert plate. A class act. The entire team, from the manager to the staff, was gracious, professional, and genuinely attentive. This level of care and quality is remarkable. We will most certainly be returning again and again. Thank you for a perfect evening.

Konkan

05/04/2026: Lovely food served fresh from the kitchen. If you like authentic Indian food you can't go wrong with this small restaurant. We'll be back.
28/03/2026: Konkan has become one of our absolute favourite spots, and it’s a place my boyfriend and I keep coming back to. Every visit feels special, not just because of the incredible food, but because of the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our go-to dish is the buttermilk chicken curry, and it never disappoints. It’s rich, flavourful, and perfectly balanced—honestly one of the best curries we’ve ever had. You can really tell there’s care and attention put into every dish. What truly sets Konkan apart, though, is the service. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, always checking in and making sure everything is just right. That personal touch makes such a difference and turns a great meal into a genuinely memorable experience. Between the outstanding food and the exceptional service, Konkan is a place we’d wholeheartedly recommend. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s somewhere you feel looked after every time you visit.

Spice Village

16/02/2026: Got a takeaway from Spice Village in Terenure on a busy Friday night and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth everything went. The food was ready when promised and still piping hot when we got home. I had the lamb rogan josh and it was tender, rich, and full of flavour, while the garlic naan was soft with just the right amount of crisp on the edges. The portions were generous and great value for the price, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Staff were friendly during collection, which always leaves a good impression. Really solid local Indian takeaway reliable, tasty, and perfect for a weekend treat.
16/02/2026: We gave Spice Village in Terenure a try after hearing good things locally, and it really lived up to the hype. The curries were rich and flavourful without being too heavy, and you can adjust the spice level to suit your taste. The vegetable samosas were crisp and fresh, and the pilau rice was perfectly cooked. Collection was quick and hassle-free, and the staff were polite and welcoming when we arrived. Everything was well packaged and still piping hot when we got home. A reliable spot for a tasty Indian meal — great quality, fair prices, and we’ll definitely be back.
