Andy's in Monaghan

We dined there last Thursday. Food was delicious and plentiful!

We booked late and we’re unable to get a table upstairs. Kevin reassured us that we’d be fine for a bar room table. We arrived On Friday the 13th September. Let’s start by saying that the food is all excellent. The steaks are as good as ever. Flavourful and delicious. One of our party had onion rings and they were huge delight. The sautéed garlic potatoes were perfectly scrumptious. I chose healthy veg, with cheese sauce of course. Perfectly cooked. I tried my friend’s gin and I was very impressed. I’m converted to these new flavours. I’ll have to return soon to have my own. I spent 11 days in Ireland and this was the best meal that I had. Oh by the way the service is warm and friendly. I look forward to returning.

Andy's bar was delicious. We ordered the brie as an appetizer and I will dream about it, that Fried Brie is fabulous. I had the fillet for my main course and it was fantastic. My wife had the pepper chicken and loved it.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Welcoming staff, good food portions were large for us. Two young children in our group and they were catered for wonderfully. Made to feel special. The staff were great , just the right balance between. Heartily recommend.

Lovely little. Place nice atmosphere. Lovely staff top notch food. Only found it by accident passing through. Would make a point of dropping gin again if ever up this direction.

Well located/easy to find in the town centre. Comfortable/cosy decor. My daughter (who has special needs) and I were made so welcome this was pure pleasure. The food was delicious, well presented and excellent value. They have an excellent selection of quality gins and whisky if you want to try some. I strongly recommend the award winning rhubarb gin it is exquisite. (I bought a bottle to take home as a treat).We will go again if we are in Monaghan as there was plenty to choose from and I doubt it could be bettered.

Super atmosphere for a restaurant, the service was brilliant, the food was top quality and their selection of own drinks was a hit. Highly recommend!

Just left Andy’s - a booth table for 4 for me , my husband, my 8 year old and a 5 month old baby -super bar and restaurant - the food was exceptional- lovely atmosphere , staff friendly and courteous you can tell they really care about the service . Really enjoyed our afternoon . Will most definitely be back . Thank you and compliments to the chef !
