Angelina's in Dublin

Food was delicious and our server Agnes was very attentive!

A beautiful, spacious restaurant with plenty of seating. Romantic views from the window! The water adds a special atmosphere to the place. You'll be greeted warmly at the entrance and shown to your table. Service is very fast, and the staff is knowledgeable. The only thing that bothered me was that the teapot looked a bit dingy, as it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Pet-friendly. Pets are allowed on the terrace. The food is delicious, and the presentation is beautiful. 👏🏻 Reserve your table in advance.

Enjoyed the meal but service wasn't great. I had to go looking for a waitress twice to order drinks.

It’s a nice environment, the food came quickly, and it was good. The service could improve, as the host seemed to be in a hurry even though there were not many people. Also, the bill was brought when we didn’t ask for it. We sat on the terrace, and the heating wasn’t working. The terrace has a very nice view, but it could be more enjoyable if the heater were working and the blinds were open, especially since the day was not very cold. We ordered the pancakes, but they were too sweet. The drinks were very good, and the Benedict eggs were very good as well, but a bit too fatty. It’s a nice place to visit, but like everything, there is room for improvement.

We got off to a really bad start as we had booked 6 weeks in advance knowing the rugby, which we were going to, clashed with Valentines Day. So we were massively frustrated to be told with only 3 days notice that we would have to have the set menu at €75 per head knowing that we would struggle to find an alternative at such a late stage. The food was ok but the chicken came with mash and nothing else unless you wanted to pay for sides (€6 each) on top of a rip of set menu price (€75 per person). Service was ok but certainly not great. We were given the bill without asking for it. We certainly did not have nearly €400 worth of food and service. Foolish of them to mess us about like that with the short notice as we won’t go back. Update - when I put this review on Opentable where the booking was originally made, Angelinas responded to say that when I originally booked it was stayed in the terms that it would be a Valentines set menu. I have asked them to tell me where this was stated in my booking and they have not responded. I have tested by booking for 14 February 2027 and there is no mention that the à la carte menu is not available and a €75 per head set menu will apply.

It was lovely to return to Angelina's. Our second visit in 3 years. Food was great, a bit pricey for a lunch. Only for stars because we looked at a menu online, but when arrived it proved to be only available for weekends. Top service, dog friendly in our case, clean and I will recommend.
