Went during lunch and place was empty, selected on menu was small, food was nice but nothing special, as prices increase and it wasn't cheap I think food quality should be better.

My favourite place to sit outside and have a drink. Especially when the weather is lovely.

Loved the food and the service was very good. However, the seats in the bar are a little uncomfortable. This may be an issue for those getting on in years. Overall, a very nice place for a meal.

Have enjoyed previous trips there, but we recently had a very disappointing Sunday lunch, service was slow, the server didn't know what was on the plates, the portions were mean and the Yorkshire was burnt. Either the person in charge of giving a tuppence was on holidays or the place is coasting on reputation.

The food here is amazing, especially the butter and ketchup made by the restaurant themselves—they're delicious! I've never had butter that's so soft, sweet, and salty, and doesn't make me feel sick after eating too much. The soup of the day and the bread were creamy and flavorful, since it's a mix of various vegetables. Oh my god, out of everything, I loved the chicken parfait the most! It was a highlight, a delectable handmade parfait 💙💙. The Irish Beef was also mouthwatering, and its side potato was savory! The service and the interior design of the restaurant were also wonderful. I could feel the Irish sense of lifestyle right away when I walked in! Overall, this was one of the best experiences for me, and I'll definitely come back if I ever get a chance.

Exceeded my expectations in all aspects, in terms if atmosphere, service, food quality, serving size. Reasonable price as well. Two starters, beer, dessert and coffee for 45,5€. I smelled smoked fish. Wanf to go back to try that.

The Waterloo

17/07/2026: Great pub, great atmosphere and staff are friendly and chatty. Loved the place, will come back again when I'm in Dublin next time.
16/07/2026: Did not eat but beautiful pub would highly recommend, great location just before the madness of the city on Baggot street junction before the bridge. They have tall tables, regular tables, booths and an outdoor smoking area upstairs. Really friendly manager/owner/doorman,barmen they have very respectful and professional staff who really know their locals but are also very friendly to strangers 🥰Has a charming lil piece of history for any one who's interested, the have created a Brendan Behan snug/corner where you can sit & enjoy a drink where he used to💚🤍🧡💚🤍🧡*I would say very family friendly but maybe not on big match days😃
