Annie Mays Bar and Lounge in Newcastle

Went here for my granddad's birthday. The food was great. However, for some strange reason, we weren't allowed to eat the cake in there. Which is odd because it's basically like eating a dessert which is something I never experienced before. But anyhow, it is what it is, I suppose. Aside from that, everything was great. We, ll, definitely be back.

Went here today, there was nothing I could fault about the place, athmosphere was so relaxed, staff couldnt have been more friendly or helpful, and hats off to the chefs, the food was absolutely delicious, far from me, but worth the drive !

I've been to several restaurants in Ireland and find Annie Mays genuinely the best. They have a combination of great atmosphere, in and outdoors space, easy access for parking, lovely and welcoming staff, delicious food, and is probably more affordable if compared to other places. It's a gem in the heart of Newcastle and within a walking distance from my house. We don't usually bother driving to the mountains or going anywhere near Dublin town as we know we will be better catered in there. Best chicken wings you'll find!
