17/06/2024: Pub/restaurant with truly delicious food. Everything we ordered was very well-prepared and tasty. Servers were very friendly too. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended! 👍🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

09/07/2024: Really surprised at how wonderful the food and service was here. As other people have said don’t judge a book by its cover! The ladies who waited on us were so good. The best waitresses we’ve ever encountered. The lamb was perfect. The veg still had bite. The lasagne was al dente and the deserts…oh my days! So good and we got a free taster of the lemon meringue too! Simply the best food we’ve had in Ireland so far!

21/06/2024: Truly a must visit if you are in Athlone and frankly speaking worth the commute if you aren’t. Offering a quaint, cosy fine dining experience in the heart of this beautiful historic town. Thyme will blow your socks off when it comes to the consistency and delivery of its dishes and services. Utilising fresh local ingredients, the chef wowed me dish after dish with the delicacy and expertise of their food. All of this comes at an incredibly reasonable price point giving even more reason to visit this restaurant. If you haven’t been to Thyme, then make time for it

30/06/2024: Exceptional food and brilliant service. Always rammed full so book in advance or grab a spot at the bar. I'm surprised this place doesn't have a Bib Gourmand. If any of the Michelin gang are reading this! Best place to eat in Kerry, in my experience.

28/06/2024: Das Essen, der Service, das Ambiente, für mich unvergleichbar und immer wieder eine Reise nach Kenmare wert. Der Service ist seit meinem Besuch vom letzten Jahr personell noch sehr ähnlich, was ich als sehr gutes Zeichen werte. Das Essen ausgesprochen gut und mit Liebe angerichtet. Immer wieder gerne. 09/07/2024: I have eaten the standard fish and chips many times in various countries, but the fish and chips here are perfect 👌 The batter is crispy and the fish inside is very fresh. The portions are very large, so it is recommended that you visit on an empty stomach. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very kind.

07/07/2024: From the outside, the Grattan Bar doesn’t look like the type of place that would offer great food and hospitality - but you know the old saying, don’t judge a book by its cover! We were warmly welcomed by Martha and well looked after. The cabbage and bacon was so flavoursome. The fish and chips and burger were also by all counts delicious! Portions are beyond generous and the Guinness was great. Martha looked after us well and her personality is warm, inviting and genuinely friendly. All-in-all a traditional cead mile failte that isn’t so much the norm these days. Thanks Martha!

08/07/2024: Irish plus a few more food options for breakfast and lunch. The service was fast and the staff very friendly.

01/07/2024: Arrived about 10.15 on a Sunday morning. The place was already almost full with a great bustling atmosphere. However, the friendly staff member soon found us a table and in no time, we were seated and perusing the extensive breakfast menu. I thought that as the place was so busy, we might have a long wait for our food. However this was not the case - our huge breakfasts arrived quickly and looked and tasted amazing. I opted for the Sonny Corleone and my daughter went for the Tommy DeVito. The bill came to less than 30 euros, which is not back for 2 large breakfasts with toast, soda bread, jam/marmalade plus tea/coffee. It certainly set us up for the rest of the day! TIP - if you don't want to wait for a table, go early. When we left at around 11.15, the queue stretched about 20 yards down the street. A testament to how popular this place is.

11/07/2024: What a lovely place! Staff was so friendly and attentive, and the Orchid restaurant served a five course meal that was just out of this world. Also ate at their bistro restaurant, the food was awesome there also. Hope to get back to Cork, will definitely stay at the Hayfield Manor House on our next trip!

08/07/2024: This was my 3rd visit to Hayfield Manor, the location is fabulous - we did have a couple of faux pas during our stay but after speaking with John the Operations Manager, he offered expedient resolution!

24/07/2024: Love this bar! If you are looking for a bar/restaurant that is outside of the hustle and bustle of temple area and tourist, this is your spot. It’s not too far off the beaten path, but just enough to where we felt like a local. Had the Irish Guinness beef stew and it was fantastic. The gravy was the best we had in Dublin! Service was awesome, drinks were good, and they gave us great recommendations for other bars which was awesome. If we ever come back to Dublin, this will be our first stop.

17/07/2024: Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Service 1.5hr for meal to finally come. Relying on tourists for their custom and don’t care if you return. Far better places to try.

25/06/2024: Rathsallagh Country House was our dream wedding venue and completely exceeded our expectations. From the day we viewed Rathsallagh we completely fell in love with this beautiful venue. Throughout the whole planning process, Joe, Catherine and our wedding coordinator Olivia were extremely helpful, kind and professional. The service the team at Rathsallagh offer is second to none. All the staff at Rathsallagh are outstanding and hold a high standard of professionalism. On the day of our wedding, the staff made us feel so at ease ensuring we had a stress free day and enjoyed every minute. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how incredible the staff was. The food was out of this world, cooked to perfection and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our day was made extra special as we were able to have our dog as part of our big day as Rathsallagh are dog friendly. No matter what changes or requests we made, they were never an inconvenience to the team at Rathsallagh and they went above and beyond to make our day special. We would highly recommend Rathsallagh to anyone who is planning a wedding. We will definitely be back for past couple nights as this venue now holds a very special place in our hearts. Thank you so much to all the team at Rathsallagh for making our day so special.

25/06/2024: Attended my brother's wedding here and had an amazing time! Beautiful rooms that I wish I could have spent more time in, very good food, and the staff were very courteous and really did their best to make everyone's time their wonderful. Fabulous grounds and house, top class

30/06/2024: We dined here a few weeks back with my uncle who was visiting us from France. Unique, boutique setting, with great food and wine, and service.
