Monk's Lane in Timoleague

Who knew? Can't fathom why I have not discovered this gem before now. We arrived for a play in the Community Hall and stumbled on Monk's Lane. They were happy we only wanted a small bite in the heat and short time we had. Super starters, all to be recommended. The cappuccino was lovely too. Check out the beer garden, it has the most fabulous flower garden and nooks and crannies to enjoy.🌻 We plan to return for the full experience! 😋

Such a delicious meal as usual at Monks Lane yesterday. The food is so fresh and tasty, the service is excellent and my Irish garden cocktail was delicious. Wont forget the star of the show -the outdoor garden on a day like yesterday- what a setting. We will be back. Thnak you.

This is as close to my perfect restaurant as I think there could be. Absolutely gorgeous decor. The sprays of flowers, the lane, the furniture the windows - it’s just enchanting when you walk in. The menu sounds as delicious as the food is. So many tasty sounding starters and mains to choose from. Fab selection of drinks including non-alcoholic which is a real plus for me. Desserts were divine. An absolute delight from start to finish. Service was impeccable. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This place would make a michelin restaurant sit up straight and pay attention. I will never pass through west cork ever again without planning a meal @ the monks lane....superb in every detail....a must...you will certainly not regret it. Thx to local Sonya for recommending it to us. We owe u.

We celebrated our wedding at Monk's Lane Restaurant on the weekend, and all we can say is wow. This venue can easily compete with – and even surpass – many traditional wedding hotels, all without the pressure or stress that often comes with larger venues. The garden is absolutely unique, filled with beautiful flowers and cosy seating areas with comfortable cushions. It created the most magical atmosphere for our special day. A very special thank you goes to Michelle, whose incredible taste, professionalism, and wonderful personality made all the difference. From our very first meeting until our wedding day, he managed every detail of the planning, decorating, and organisation with such care and dedication. He made sure that both we and our guests had an unforgettable experience. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, the portions were generous, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. It was clear that every plate was prepared with passion. And the staff deserve the highest praise. Without exaggeration, they are the kindest, warmest, and happiest team we have ever met. They served every one of our guests with genuine smiles, making everyone feel as though they were welcoming us into their own home. Their attention to every detail and their kindness meant so much to us. Five stars honestly don't feel like enough. This is more than just a recommendation—it's a heartfelt thank you to every single person who was with us on 27 June 2026 and helped make our wedding so perfect, whether your role was big or small. This was the final meal of our holiday and we saved the best until last! The food was incredible, the staff were friendly, and it was a really nice atmosphere. I had hake for main and then sticky toffee for pudding which were both delicious! The two others in my party thoroughly enjoyed theirs as well - would highly recommend.
