10/07/2024: Didn't eat because not gluten free ( coeliac partner) but it looked great! UPDATE! We've since eaten because now they DO GF food and yes, it was lovely and yes, we would (and have) returned!

21/07/2024: I went here for dinner with family and friends. The restaurant itself is very attractive although small. The food was very disappointing. Fish was not fresh and tasted bad. Burger was tasteless. The steak was quite nice.

21/07/2024: Wonderful seafood, best I got during our West Cork ten days, served by a delightful young woman - very able, naturally friendly. Pity about the ambience. The house is atmospheric due to its age, but it was so dirty I had to concentrate on my food not to be put out. The best brown bread, by the way!

07/07/2024: Service was good. We could not get a seat inside so we went outside. Yard was very cold so we had to put on our coats. Others did as well. Patio stove was not lighting. Squashed in tables had and so we had to slide tables to let others up and out and back again . We had chicken which was over cooked. My friend would not eat hers. The chicken was like leather tasteless a waste of money . Most people had the burgers and they looked nice obviously cooked fresh . Southern fried chicken was dry hard tastless the worse i ever tasted so i ate the chips n coleslaw and went to jacobs bar after

30/06/2024: We were staying in Baltimore for 3 nights in Rolfs Guest house up the hill. We ate in Rolfs and Dede and with the limited restaurants in this area and didn’t like the look of food face g the harbour we decided on The Algiers Inn. We were very surprised by the quality of the food and service. Good wine and excellent cocktails and full bar. The food we had sampled a lot from the various headings. Tacos baked and soft with n beautiful fillings beef, pork, cauliflower, chicken or pork. We sampled all 5. Followed by the harissa mussels fantastic after a cold day on the ferries. Followed by loaded fries the soft tacos again all beautiful. The service was swift and nothing was a bother. We grazed over our various courses so we were there for a few hours. Cassie was our server mostly along with others and Emily behind the bar that made us great negroni cocktails. Fast and efficient staff kept this show on the road. A must when in Baltimore.

20/07/2024: We stopped on a Saturday at 2 p.m. by chance because this restaurant was on our vacation route! Excellent food, perfect salmon, beef, sauces, fries, mash and vegetables!!!! The portions are very generous and the service very fast! Only one regret: we didn't have dessert even though they looked excellent 😅😍very nice place and even the toilets are clean and pleasant!! Finally the addition is very reasonable! I highly recommend! Congratulations to the whole team !

24/07/2024: Great fish and chips just on the outskirts of Kisnale, made fresh in front of you with a short wait and great value. Just have to watch out for the seagulls.

23/06/2024: Terrific food and very accommodating staff! We were seated for lunch but miscalculated the amount of time we had before we had to catch a train. The Roastie staff kindly and graciously packed up our meal for take away giving us everything we needed. Our meal was delicious even an hour later!

03/06/2024: Amazing food,definitely the best burger I've ever eaten. Staff were so friendly,despite us not having a booking they managed to get us a table on a busy bank holiday Sunday. 100% will be returning.

17/05/2024: On recommendation we made a reservation for lunch. On arrival I was made feel at home by a warm welcome to a comfortable space. A real West Cork atmosphere where everyone feels important. The menu was varied but not so extensive as might confuse. Local produce was featured throughout and this was obvious in the flavoursome and beautifully prepared dishes delivered. My party was thoroughly satisfied and replete when we finished our meal. This was a great referral which I am happy to pass on. Excellent food was supported by charming staff in a lovely homely atmosphere.

29/06/2024: Beautiful restaurant with delicious food made and served to a very high standard in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. My family and I visit here often as I consider it the best restaurant in West Cork by far. The food is consistently well prepared and delicious. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and always do their best to meet you needs. The lay out is very unique and beautiful and it's always a pleasure to dine there.

26/06/2024: What a great pub absolutely steeped in history!! First pint wasn’t the best but I’m nearly sure it was the first poured of the day. Once the bar man saw, he came out and took it back to refill. Great pints, great stories, great atmosphere.
