The best restaurants in Castletownshend

20/09/2026: I hadn’t been here for about a decade but always loved Mary Annes and its ambiance. I wasn’t disappointed! I ate here on about five occasions either family and friends while holidaying in the village. It’s a wonderful pub/restaurant. Food, especially the sea food, was excellent and the vegetables perfectly cooked and plentiful. The wine list is very well chosen and priced. Some really good wines available. The staff are really friendly and professional. They also have an off licence trade in wines which we amply availed of at very good prices. And we sampled the Guinness and Murphy’s most days for medicinal purposes. Excellent quality. I cannot recommend Mary Annes highly enough. It helped make our holiday!
