Mary Ann's Bar in Castletownshend

Very good chowder and the best pint of Guinness I've had in Ireland after 3 days.

A recommendation from our host (Kathleen, Atlantic House B&B). The food was fantastic, the menu was well-balanced, there was a good selection of local drinks, and the hosts were very welcoming. The atmosphere is charmingly rustic, typically Irish. Highly recommended. We're repeat customers and would eat here again anytime.

We go to Maryann's every time we're in Cork. Fergus is so welcoming and the food is great. Love the art on the walls. Staff very friendly

We had a lovely evening at Mary Ann’s. Highly recommend this place. Service was friendly and prompt. The pints and meals were perfect! We had the pints in the garden and then moved inside for dinner. We enjoyed excellent scallops and hake dishes. We made a reservation.

We by chance came upon Mary Ann's today in Castletownshend and oh my goodness the food is out of this world! We're Irish, from Dublin and we brought our friends to West Cork for the first time, and we all agreed it's the best food we've had so far! For me, the mussels were the best I've ever had. My husband had the open crab sandwich which was insanely good and everyone else had the chowder which were devoured by all the kids!! The pub is one of those gorgeous oldy worldy pubs with so much character. The staff were so attentive and friendly. It was €65 per family including alcohol which was incredible value. You need to go out of your way to eat here! You will be very happy you did.

Excellent atmosphere, excellent food, friendly & welcoming staff.

A very nice pub, but €21 for a Guinness and a Spritz is €6 more than in Baltimore, so we didn't stay for a meal.

Food quite nice, service slow, but deserts were fab.
