Having sampled wine bars on five continents itโs always a pleasure to return to Kinsale and experience The Black Pig.
One of the longest wine lists I have ever seen and caters for all tastes and budgets.
Make sure you book as there may not be room if you pop in on chance, but they will always try and fit you in.

20/03/2026: My cousin and I are on a road trip around Ireland. Our B&B host recommended this joint & it wins hands down. Even though the place was packed , tables were turned around quickly, staff were lovely & very attentive.
Before I had my second sip of my beer, our meals were out - delicious and massive at a great price. Customer service was amazing & bar staff were pretty good looking.
You know your in a good place when it's packed with the locals. Highly recommend!! Alyce ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฆ

21/02/2026: Popped in on a wet Saturday evening - they don't take bookings so were lucky they had a table as was quite busy. Food was excellent, we shared the prawn pil-pil for starters and it was quite different from a standard dish. For mains we had a Gubeen pizza and the confit of duck. Share a gorgeous blueberry cheesecake for dessert. Including a nice bottle of Alborino, the bill came to โฌ93 which was excellent value for the quality of food.
