A very traditional, cozy, and rustic pub. The decor and countless photos on the walls tell a fascinating story. Many great live music evenings throughout the month (see the website for the schedule). During our visit, several guests joined in the music and sang along enthusiastically. A fantastic atmosphere. There's also a beer garden when the weather is nice!

This is exactly what you imagine an Irish bar to be like: you listen to Irish music while enjoying a chilled cider or Guinness, with a different singer performing each time, accompanied by various instruments. Simply a must-visit.

This place is amazing. Proper old school pub. Good pour of a pint, and all sorts of interesting music memorabilia on the walls. Great staff as well and very laid back atmosphere.

I recently visited Clonakilty and popped into DeBarras on Wednesday night where Chris and Co. was leading a pass-the-guitar-around sing song. It was fantastic and a highlight of my visit to Clonakilty. Over the course of a few days I ended up back in DeBarras a total of three times. Such a treasure of a pub and venue and a real stellar spot for music.

19/09/2026: We had a fantastic stay in An Sugan... We were in Clonakilty for work and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable... Food and service was also excellent... We tried the salmon and the chowder and both were lovely. Breakfast was also amazing... Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful... Our car actually broke down and they helped get us in touch with a local mechanic 👍 would certainly recommend....
17/09/2026: Great service, the food was lovely. I ordered the burger but I am dairy free and they didn't have a dairy free bun.
