06/08/2026: Another delicious lunch in beautiful Ballydehob at Budds after a scenic stroll along the 12 arch way. Great atmosphere at Budds, food is excellent in a lovely atmosphere and the team are so happy and friendly. Highly recommend

17/05/2026: We had an amazing experience here! We spent 3 nights at Ballymaloe and loved every minute. It is an absolutely stunning hotel in the peaceful Irish countryside. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, had heated floors and a heated towel rack, and the comfiest bed! Our room even had a small patio overlooking the gardens. Service was great as well. The morning breakfast was absolutely delicious and the afternoon tea and cake was a nice way to spend an afternoon. We had the 5 course dinner on property one night- which was also delicious. The employees are all so kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend Ballymaloe to anyone! And would love to come back one day!

19/07/2026: The food great here the have a student saver box. The sausages are all different and delishpus and so is there potatoes. the people make it too. Makes a huge difference when people are passionate about your food.

16/07/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Cork. My wife and children wanted to try it, and we weren't disappointed! The staff was very friendly, and the selection was impressive! The hot dogs were beautiful, large, and delicious!

06/06/2026: I had dinner here recently and it was delicious. Staff are very friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about their gluten free options. Most of the menu could be adapted for gluten free. Staff were also very aware of cross contamination. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

21/06/2026: Nice food. Summer pudding for dessert— rare in England. Pleasant, very quiet (on a Sunday), staff helpful and jolly if not of the fastest! If it's a hotel, I saw no evidence of that.

01/06/2026: Always a pleasure to stay here! Rooms are a tad dated but homely, cosy, and comfortable. The food is the standout here, from breakfast, to bar, to restaurant. Everything is thoughtfully considered and assembled, fish being the winner in the bar and restaurant!

The staff were equally impressive; they were welcoming, friendly, attentive, and made us feel so well looked after throughout our visit. It was a fantastic dining experience with exceptional food and service. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend The Thatch Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal.
