30/10/2024: Super friendly coffee shop with generous sized Irish Breakfasts that kept us going til dinner. We had to return the next for an equally good experience.

15/10/2024: We have been on the way to Cork and we stopped here for a lunch. Dishes were delicious and the restaurant staff was very kind and helpful,especially our waitress. We had a great time!

27/10/2024: So happy to have this close by! A much needed change to the area, the menu is refreshing - tasty and having the options for kids is great too! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Great job to the new owners and all involved!

15/09/2024: The new owners have changed the menu significantly and IT IS AMAZING. I almost skipped this place because the photos on Google were too fancy, but all the fancy photos are from the old owners, so I'm very glad our B&B hosts told us it had changed hands this year. The new menu is basic pub-style food done incredibly well, the smash burger in particular was absolutely delicious and I wish we were in the area longer because I would love to eat here again. Everyone working here made us feel welcome, they were friendly and helpful and made sure I knew there was a good nonalcoholic cider when I said I couldn't drink, and they were right, it really was good. I really hope we can make it back here on another holiday.

10/11/2024: We had an excellent experience at The Spaniards Inn! Arriving around 5 pm, we found the place quiet, which made for a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of with quick and efficient service. The food was delicious, with everything served fresh and exactly as we’d hoped. Perfect spot for a peaceful early evening meal—highly recommended!

19/10/2024: I went to the restaurant and the waiters were extremely nice fast sitting us down on a busy day and the food was super fast and don't get me started on the food the burgers moist and delicious fries right out of the fryer and the seafood chowder looks super fresh give these people a raise.

25/10/2024: Had dinner here with family recently. Going to start at the beginning. Pulled up outside and the music was blaring. Sounded like a disco. In we went and were assaulted by the decor and the tacky looking cocktail bar. I was very unsure. We were seated and as I looked around, I realised that the place looks awful but is spotless. And I mean spotless. The food was good. Simple and straight forward but good, fresh, well cooked food. I wouldn't be going here for a fancy dinner but it's perfect for a bite. It wasn't particularly busy while we were there and there were only 2 people working and they seemed to be under pressure so the service wasn't fantastic. However, the staff were very friendly and they were helpful once we called them over. Long story short, I would eat here again and I was pleasantly surprised despite the offputting first impression.

23/09/2024: Lovely atmosphere and fantastic staff. We did the tasting menu and wine pairing and cannot say enough good things about this establishment. Thank you so much for having us!

21/09/2024: Bastion is well worth your time; even if it’s only for a drink and a snack at the bar. We stopped in without a reservation and were able to spend some time at the bar. It was a welcome change from a noisy pub and the bar snacks were next level. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and extremely accommodating. You could tell they take great care in making guests feel welcome; even folks like us who popped in off the street after seeing the Michelin sign on the door. I can’t speak to the dinner menu, but from what we saw being served it looked beautiful and unique. The snacks at the bar were very good; go for the Iberian ham and olives, I’d also consider grabbing the cheese and crackers as well. We were in Kinsale on a whim and didn’t have time to make reservations, but if we are ever back in the area we’d absolutely be making dinner reservations.

01/10/2024: Stopped off for a quick coffee. Pretty location. Good coffee, great friendly service.

17/09/2024: I've been here 4 times now and I love it! Mick is lovely as is Shadow, his dog! Staff are really nice too! Very welcoming cosy cafe in a fantastic gallery! Love the seating outside too!

22/10/2024: Very good time at this restaurant! I recommend, the soup is delicious, the mussels and the fish too. We were there with our 2 year old daughter, and everything went very well! Go there with your eyes closed!

13/10/2024: On a stormy rainy day in October this was like an oasis in the desert as there was nothing open elsewhere. There was a beautiful open fire 🔥 heating the small bar and lounge. We ordered the homemade soup 🍲 and coffee ☕️ and enjoyed the food and warmth 😋 Recommended.

01/11/2024: Just had the most delicious lunch in the Rivers End. Tasty, gorgeous food in generous portions. A lovely atmosphere and the most attentive staff. Such a fab place to have on our doorstep.

31/10/2024: Top breakfast, really good ingredients, nice coffee too. Its also in a lovey spot in Crosshaven and would have been lovely to sit outside if it wasnt for the rain!

28/09/2024: What a great pub!! Was staying in Cork City and took a short trip down to Crosshaven and a quick pint in Cronins. Quick pint into lunch and several pints as we were really enjoying the place. The oysters, mussels and fish and chips were delicious. The batter on the fish was light and perfect 👌 we were sorry to leave but we will be back.
