30/05/2026: It was a delicious meal with excellent service. They accommodated us when fully booked and I'm so delighted they did. The goats cheese salad and roast cod were amazing. An Eton mess to top off an amazing meal. 👏
19/05/2026: A lovely restaurant in the square in Rosscarbery just beside an equally nice pub, Nolan’s. This family run restaurant serves excellent food and with great service and a lovely atmosphere. We had a reservation for Saturday evening. The Dover sole was excellent as was the Cod with muscle sauce (also many muscles). Will have to return soon.

26/05/2026: Ordered fish and chips, fish was undercooked and the chips were hard, old and stale. The waitress was miserable, didn't smile once and didn't check to see if our food was okay once. I asked for ketchup, a normal request for a fish and chips dinner, and she brought me a half-filled tiny pot of ketchup. I asked for more ketchup and she did the same again. Really disappointing meal in what is a lovely town.
01/05/2026: I can honestly say that this was one of the best seafood meals that I have ever eaten. We started with the crab claws. Amazing. Then I got the monkfish. Even more amazing. Perfectly cooked. Truly could not have been better. My wife ordered the garlic prawns which were just as delicious. This place did not disappoint in even the slightest way.

18/12/2025: Came in late after a long day of travelling and arrived in near closing time. They were very accommodating to me and my partner, we had accommodation already sorted elsewhere but we had some food here and it was deadly. Owners very friendly and recommend us sights to see. Will be back when we visit skibbereen again.

14/07/2026: My friend and I go here regularly and the food and service is always exceptional. However, theres even more to my happiness they added ethically friendly cola which is not as common as it should be. Well done. And their granola my friend advised is top notch so im going to get to bring home. The @palestincola is yum and they have lots of flavours. This addition will make me go there even more often. Great shopping choices.

30/06/2026: Nice place overall. Overpriced for what it offers. Last time I ate there I had the breakfast and it was nothing to write home about. Poached eggs were completely raw on inside, snotty slime when cut open, looked nice but not edible.

07/04/2026: I've always had great fondness for this shop and I hope the future is bright for it.
Having said that, every time I go in lately there's been less and less on sale. No soup of the day, no wines to browse, none of a particular high-end frozen pizza that I became a fan of - and today evidently no ice-cream for sale at all!
So I report with sadness that I often come away empty-handed of late.

06/07/2026: A truly delightful meal and superb service despite our large party (9 people). We were a little surprised that they continued serving dishes around 4 pm, but they remained of very high quality. A real treat!

My only complaint was the food is quite overpriced for what you are getting.

06/06/2026: They were able to fit us in at the last minute on a busy Saturday night. We were absolutely blown away by the creativity of the menu and the food was outstanding. Our server, Victor, was friendly, helpful, and made our meal one of the most memorable we had in Ireland.
06/06/2026: This place is fine dining disguised as casual. Loose and laid back, Victor returned my call and fit us into a busy night with incredible service. The small plates were tasty and not heavy. This is a perfect stop between a day of touring heading back into Cork.

22/06/2026: Friendly bar with plenty of seafood on offer. The food was really well cooked, the calamari perfect.
Nice selection of desserts too, but I was too full after the main ourse to sample them.
Old style bar with old style service, I would happily visit again.
