06/08/2026: Fish is obviously frozen, chips a little hard as others have noted. Still, decent enough. €13.50

28/07/2026: Great chipper. We got huge portions of fish and chips. Lovely staff.

13/08/2026: Super cafe with a French style we sat out and enjoyed the atmosphere of a lovely town. The building itself is around 1600 ad or so . Great coffee served with a smile.

13/08/2026: Visiting family in Kinsale, we went to the Speckled Door for lunch, amazing location overlooking the ocean, the food, atmosphere, scenery all so beautiful. 11/08/2026: Stopped by on the way to The Old Head of Kinsale, was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful view behind the premises upon entry, delicious bowl of seafood chowder for a reasonable price, welcoming staff, I will be back!

28/07/2026: On our way to Dublin Airport from Killarney found this great spot. Full of locals. Best desserts & sandwiches while others had dinner. Friendly staff. Well worth the stop.

31/05/2026: We came on a chance while visiting Cork, because it looked like an interesting mix of Irish and Thai cuisines. We had a gigantic chicken burger which was great and a delicious Thai red curry which was actually yellow but nonetheless very good. Portions are huge, you would not come here for atmosphere or decor as it's inside not a very glamorous small shopping centre where you need a key to access the toilet. All female staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating, if we are ever back this way we will be sure to be back and thank you!

24/02/2026: Nice country pub atmosphere with a fire lite stove. The service was professional. I ordered a steak which was overcooked first and was taken back, then it was undercooked on the second attempt. I ended up getting a burger and chips which I wasn’t charged for which I felt was the good way of dealing with the situation.

21/02/2026: Best meal of our trip to Ireland, and we ate many good meals. The blade steak was TO. DIE. FOR. The toffee cheesecake dessert, mouthwatering. The staff was friendly and accommodated our questions. We stumbled upon this place, and boy are we thankful we did!!

21/07/2026: Great spot, staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you, creating a great atmosphere. It's so clean and comfortable, no money has been spared on the furnishings. It has a pool, kids pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym all lovely and clean. There's ample parking, with disabled spots, loads of room inside for buggies. There's lots of meeting/conference rooms (didn't see inside these), but can clearly cater for a lot of functions. Plenty of amenities in the area/village all within walking distance. I'll be staying here again

03/06/2026: Just back from a lovely weekend at the Carrigaline Court. The hotel was in a great location for visiting Fota Wildlife Park. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, and the food was excellent throughout our stay. Breakfast buffet was very good, with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay again.

09/06/2026: Stopped off for lunch and then beer battered fresh cod was delicious, very light batter and home made real chips. Friendly staff, would highly recommend

28/06/2026: I came here because it was highly recommended, unfortunately the service was terrible. We waited at the door no one greeted us, another server didn’t even tell us the specials. However the waiter who was a women was very kind such a shame that the other two waiters ruined my experience.

29/05/2026: Went for an evening meal. Food was average. Service was transactional with serving staff not engaging or particularly interested in their customers. It may help if a singular member of staff were allocated to a certain set of tables to try to create some connection. We got a different person at each stage of the meal. We didn't leave a tip...

18/12/2025: Came in late after a long day of travelling and arrived in near closing time. They were very accommodating to me and my partner, we had accommodation already sorted elsewhere but we had some food here and it was deadly. Owners very friendly and recommend us sights to see. Will be back when we visit skibbereen again.
