The Speckled Door in

A great spot to stop by if you’re around Kinsale. I dropped in after going to heads end. What a view! The service was super friendly and the chowder was the best I had in Ireland so far. A must go.

So, I think Speckled door is a lovely place, it’s super convenient place for west cork tourists who might look for a quiet refuge during the summer. The ocean view on the kinsale harbor also spectacular, especially with sea cliffs and green countryside hills… BUT! The food isn’t that great. There isn’t that much care or attention on how the food is created, For example; The chicken stir fry I ordered was overly salty, and the burger was overcooked and black… And the waiting time was kinda long but that’s forgivable during peak tourist season. just be mindful of the food, that’s all!

Good place and beach view. Good for family time

Excellent restaurant! The fish and chips are fresh with a delicious homemade tartar sauce! The desserts are flavorful and tasty! The setting is beautiful, overlooking the Irish coast. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Wonderful pub....great food... The staff are excellent...but the views are stunning...

Needs improving. Food was not as fresh as it should have been, especially for the price. Brown bread was old and hard, crab was not lifted or made better with dressing etc. Expensive so hence my review, toilets were filthy too.

Views are lovely, location is great... Food is average AT BEST, service is average at best; dirty tables, dirty glasses, no ice etc etc

Great food and service. Came in as it was opened. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good was great. And an amazing view.

We were passing and one of the girls said that they stopped here years ago and that it was good. So after a short wall and photo stop at the entrance of golf club in we went. The place was absolutely spotless and a lovely glowing fire throwing out heat. The manager was polite and friendly informative and not pushy! Service was great and the coffee as the food was spot on. Only 2 options for small people. The soup was really flavoursome. Great stop highly recommended
