24/09/2026: Went and before I went checked the time and it was one hour before closing and when I went in they said they're closed , surely change Ur hours 😔 on Google maps .Was very disappointed

24/02/2026: Nice country pub atmosphere with a fire lite stove. The service was professional. I ordered a steak which was overcooked first and was taken back, then it was undercooked on the second attempt. I ended up getting a burger and chips which I wasn’t charged for which I felt was the good way of dealing with the situation.

21/02/2026: Best meal of our trip to Ireland, and we ate many good meals. The blade steak was TO. DIE. FOR. The toffee cheesecake dessert, mouthwatering. The staff was friendly and accommodated our questions. We stumbled upon this place, and boy are we thankful we did!!

13/12/2025: Amazing food 5 of us ate and everyone was more than happy. Steak was so tasty and cooked to perfection the mushroom was unbelievable onky thing I would improve on was the chips. Some way too crunchy but overall delicious. Staff are very friendly was a lovely lunch. Will be back.

04/10/2026: I heard they had really good pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try it. Instead, I had a different, unpleasant experience. I specifically checked on Google Maps to see if they were open. I drove there specifically to find the restaurant closed. However, the bar was open, and the listed opening hours only refer to the bar. The woman behind the counter couldn't give me any specific opening times. So, this is one of those places in Ireland where you never know if it's open or not. Keep in mind that it's in the middle of nowhere. There's no website, and as mentioned, the listed opening hours are for the bar. If I want to eat out spontaneously, I'm not going to have to call around to countless restaurants. That's not how you do business in 2026, not even in West Cork. They could spare themselves and their customers this disappointment. Whether I'll ever get to enjoy the much-praised pizza is now questionable.

23/07/2026: I come here every now and again for lunch during my work break and sometimes for a quick dinner. The food quality is very high as is the environment. The service is always fab, even during the lunch rush you’ll be met with a friendly smile and a good service. Keep in mind your server might be a bit faster with what they say around these times. ( 12-2PM ) , but that won’t affect your experience. My go to order is a toasted pork burrito, and I would personally recommend the pork. The chicken is the most popular but the pork has more flavour. A small burrito usually does it for me, and fills me up but it depends on yourself. Regardless I do recommend going in, and giving it a try. The staff are always lovely and don’t mind you trying sauces, meats or salads on spoons before you put it into your burrito/bowl so you know you’ll get your moneys worth. Great Staff, Great management. P.S the Guacamole is more than worth the price it tastes quite authentic and the guac and chips deal for 5€ is such a nice treat if you’re getting dinner.

07/06/2026: Dont bother ordering online for collection they wont look at it untill you are there even though i recieved a notification that order was confirmed and was given a time for collection and also they got the order wrong even at that. Wont be going back.

17/05/2026: This estate and it's gardens are no longer open to the public. We attempted to visit but the gates were closed.

12/10/2026: It looked great when it came out, but the taste didn’t match up. There was a ton of breading and not enough fish. The fries were also hard which was disappointing.

19/02/2026: Please be advised, this is no longer a cafe! Tried to visit in Feb26 and it only does interiors. I’m sure the interiors are lovely. The lady in the Top forecourt across the way said the cafe is gone now.

12/09/2026: Stopped in for a breakfast but unfortunately they don't do it anymore. Had the toasted special and soup combo instead and it was so good. The soup was homemade and so tasty. The toasties were 10/10, proper ham and cooked to perfection. Such good value for top notch pub food! Girls serving us were so friendly we'll def return.

08/09/2026: It was the location. Room was fine. Service was just fine. We had to ask for our room to be serviced and you have to ask for more towels.

08/06/2026: Boutique comfort with perfect view of the harbour. Dined in their sister property, The Blue Haven Hotel which was incredible.

19/10/2026: Great local pub. All the classic Irish stout beers on tap. crispy pork belly, chicken supreme, mussels and spicy chicken wings are all delicious. Highly recommend.
