25/01/2025: A nice place to relax for conversation. I had a combo cup of soup of the day and toasti. Steve had the special of the day.

14/01/2025: Loved the daily special, very tasty and generous serving. Friendly, chatty wait staff. Lovely touch- a glass of mulled wine, on the house, to mark Nollaig na mBan 😊

02/01/2025: Wasn’t able to eat my food as I felt so disgusted by the fact that the plates i was being served on were filthy. Clearly who ever washed these plates didn’t know what they were doing. Please evaluate your staff.

10/04/2025: There was 1 key at check in for 2 people. Went back to ask if we could get a 2nd key cut and were moved to another room. 2nd room had tea/coffee but no kettle, espresso machine or fan, so we grabbed them from the first room as to not bother staff. There was also no iron. Window hard to open. Safe hard to lock and couldn’t unlock it. Maintenance arrived and unlocked it manually. I asked how to relock it and he said he had bad English. I was a bit worried as I had to leave and had nowhere to store passport/cash. As I was leaving, a manager arrived and figured out the safe batteries were dead, so she gave me new batteries. Room service gave us new towels and water only but didn’t replenish coffee or milk. There is no fan in the bathroom. Shower was cold on 3rd day, and reception said to wait 20 minutes while they boosted the hot water. I had a do not disturb sign on the door, yet cleaning staff scared me by walking in without knocking. To note, there were no internal-only locks, which seemed a bit unsafe, especially considering we were told that a previous guest walked out with one of the keys to our original room. All in all, the room was clean, bed comfortable (as long as you don’t fall into the middle where two twins were pushed together) and location great. The issue is it is a 3 star hotel billed as 5 star, so overpriced/overrated. If it were listed as a 3 star and priced accordingly, there would be no issue.

14/05/2025: We waited a long time outside to be accommodated, but later found out the restaurant wasn't even full and had more available tables. We were offended by one Filipino staff when we asked for tap water instead of ordering drinks. She responded sarcastically by saying, "Aaayyy, nagtitipid kayo?"—implying that we were trying to save money. Is that really a proper way to treat customers, even lets say if we're both Filipinos? Waited long time to serve our food, and she served a wrong order, that order is for the next table. Didn't hear apology from her. The restaurant was very noisy because of her, she was loudly talking and laughing with the other staff as if she were at home. Other customers even looking at her and seems to be in shock. Great location. Food portions were good. Prices were reasonable. We liked our food. But having good food is a useless if the staff is rude.

14/05/2025: We order today 2 fish and chips and fish goujons also chips chesse and curry none of them where nice very bad quality fish full of oil and frozen very bad we won't be back for sure chips used to be nice but no also they was so bad last time we was here was All nice what happened with quality???poor

16/05/2025: A delightful little pub, with tasty food, modest prices and a friendly owner (and his wife). A dish called "fisherman's pie" (or something close) was particularely yummy.

12/04/2025: Made a stop here on our way to Bantry, just about a week ago. Lovely people and very delicious scones. We had to move on so the lovely girl prepared me a scone for on the way. Unfortunately, my wife ate it, so I had to go back for another one… cheers from the Netherlands😘

21/02/2025: What an incredible restaurant! We happened upon it by chance and everything was top class! We ordered several items on the menu- all surpassed expectations! Terrific Guinness! A casual stroll in Schull ended with a very classy, delicious and friendly experience!

21/02/2025: Absolutely outstanding food and pints- the beef roast, mussels, and sticky toffee pudding were all delicious, and I had one of the best pints of Guinness I ever had. The service was great as well- a perfect dining experience all around!

23/05/2025: Brilliant well worth the visit ,large portions here if not to hungry share, very friendly staff and very clean chipper, they don't do FISH but very large menu and child menu very reasonable, fresh cut chips , clean toilets , 2 large communal tables indoor and some small outdoor tables this chipper is in middle clonkilty town ,lovely walk around this town and plenty to do in surrounding areas, warren beach is a must visit not far from clonkilty plenty parking here and clean toilet facilities

17/05/2025: Had their bacon cheese burger. I guess they deep fry it because it might have been the greasiest burger I've ever had. Didn't taste terrible, it just had very little flavor presumably because everything was coated in oil.

10/05/2025: This is 1 of the best eating place's in Youghal. You can get great food and delicious desserts to.

27/04/2025: Me and my daughter went for a meal. She got the wrong order even though two people were taking it. I gave it back was apologised to Waited like more than ten minutes,went to ask how much longer the order would take and one of the staff handed me the box Which was ready minutes prior They didn’t bother letting us know the food was ready The place was empty we were the only customers there. Plus her food wasn’t the warmest. Don’t recommend not coming back again.

15/04/2025: The conservatory at the back is lovely especially when the sun is shining. Staff are nice :)

06/05/2025: One of the younger staff dropped red sauce on my 10 month old baby (accidents happen) but the manager was rude and didn't bother to speak to us even though the restaurant was quiet. It wasn't what I would expect from a restaurant in a fancy hotel. One of the staff Jose was lovely and very attentive. Honestly the food was fine I just didn't enjoy it because of the service and it was 100 eur for 2 mains, a kids starter and 2 drinks.

10/01/2025: This is a mid-range family restaurant but does what it says on the tin. We had an enjoyable family meal on our first evening in Cork.

05/05/2025: The cafe is gorgeous and we really enjoyed the terrace on that sunny day. The waitresses were a bit lost, probably understaffed on that busy bank holiday, as we had to wait 50 minutes for a couple sandwiches and fries :/ So mixed feelings.

14/03/2025: Good value and a pleasant experience. Two gorgeous Flat Whites and a delicious Chicken Salad for €16.30, at lunchtime with no waiting and a quick, efficient, friendly service. 👍🏻
