27/10/2025: Unpleasant experience. We waited at the bar for around 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Despite approaching staff several times to ask about getting a table, we continued to be ignored. Unfortunately, we decided to leave.

12/05/2026: Do not stay here. This may have been a decent place at one time. We checked in and realized there was no running water in the bathroom, June said it would be fixed we took her at her word, it never was addressed. We got back from dinner did have cold running water only. Asked for a refund for the second night of our non cancelable reservation. House Manager Nicole offered a future free stay, no thank you. Cafe was nice on the first floor great for coffee as we ran from The Old Bank.

13/04/2026: Wonderful place to stay and incredible breakfast. Porridge was fantastic and the eggs Benedict were off the charts.

16/05/2026: Soo bad, avoid this place. 2 fish fillets glued together with batter, came out all stodgey couldn't eat any of it. 2 fish and chips, chicken strips and 2 dips, €45 shocking.....oh and everyone in the queue was so annoyed things were going so slow

30/05/2026: I have ordered from the Fermoy Supermac's several times because my son enjoys the Margherita pizza. Unfortunately, I have noticed that both the food quality and service have been declining over time. A few days ago, I ordered a pizza that was extremely disappointing. The cheese was burnt, and the dough was so thin and overcooked that it became dry and hard within minutes. My son refused to eat it, and I ended up throwing it away. To their credit, they replaced the pizza when I complained, but the replacement was only slightly better and still far below the standard I would expect. I have visited other Supermac's branches, and the difference in quality is very noticeable. The branch on Lower Glanmire Road in Cork consistently serves well-made pizzas that are properly baked and never burnt. Another detail that bothers me is that the Fermoy branch places a tub of garlic mayo directly on top of the pizza. Not only could the outside of the tub be dirty, but it also damages the pizza. I have never seen this done in any other Supermac's branch. Overall, this was my last order from the Fermoy branch. The lack of consistency and attention to basic food preparation standards is disappointing, especially when other branches clearly manage to provide a much better product.

05/05/2026: We drove to Courtmacsherry specifically to try the Golden Pheasant as a final stop on our holiday. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. We waited a while to be seated and even longer before our order was taken, by which point many of the items we wanted were sold out. When my coffee arrived, it was actually nice but was served in a handleless glass that was too hot to hold, causing further delay. ​When we were finished and asked for the bill, our waitress never returned, meaning we had to eventually go to the till to ask what we owed, where we were initially presented with the wrong bill. Each issue was relatively minor, but it added up to a poor experience overall.
