22/01/2025: Had lunch here today. Average lunch price is €17. The fish pie was basically a tiny piece of cod in a dish covered with breadcrumbs and was tasteless. My companion had the beef. The veg and potatoes are put on the plate very sparingly, portions very small. Lunch here is not worth the money.

05/10/2024: Such a quaint place to dine! We had a drink at the pub next-door and then went over to have dinner and wine at this restaurant. My friend and I split a meal and I swear they brought out two regular portion meals for that same price! The food was amazing and the fresh bread was delicious! 10 out of 10. You must try this!

08/03/2025: Went with family for dinner last night. The food was excellent from starters to deserts the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was great in the lovely open space. From booking to leaving the staff were wonderful with all 11 of us agreeing it would be hard to beat. Thanks for a fantastic evening.

08/02/2025: This is our go to as locals. The food is always top quality and the portion sizes are such great value for money. Have been at least 3 times within the last couple of months and collectively had a handful of things from the menu and cannot fault any of it. We also appreciate the fact that you can get any of the mains as half portions, because then my daughter can get anything she wants from the main/specials menu without being limited to the usual "kids meals". The only small thing would be that there are no roast potatoes on the roasts, but that doesn't stop us from coming back. We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere too. Overall very happy customers and will continue going back.

23/04/2024: This is a lovely hotel we stayed last Saturday night it was extremely busy 3 functions going on which we didn't mind. But they did not give us the hotel room which I booked but rather put us in a log cabin on arrival we were informed we got a upgrade which to honest wasn't in our opinion the bed was a very small double and typical of Ireland badly finished no point having sink tables chairs and kettle if u have no fridge or microwave. This was OK for us wecwere only staying overnight but we booked a table for 2 on arrival for 7.30 but it wasn't kept so we ended up eating very late near to 9 o clock. It was a lovely meal in fairness but overall we felt a bit cheated surely they should ring u if they don't have the room u booked and then when leaving I got told the bill was 222 euros great I said but it wasn't there was 254 euros taken from account they added on tax of 23% and 13.5% should have been said. As a result I would nt come back shame.

16/06/2024: Our experience exceeded expectations. We were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate a wedding anniversary while on holiday. The staff was very accommodating and the food was exceptionally good and not overpriced.

24/09/2024: Really good food in a warm pub setting: the breaded hake I ordered was perhaps the best plate of fish and chips I’ve had in Ireland and my wife loved her dish of cottage pie. Great service, great atmosphere and good prices,

24/08/2024: Arrives au hasard dans ce pub comme il pleuvait, le lieu était bondé alors nous nous sommes installés à 3 au bar. Une soupe du jour excellente et deux salades. Accueil cordial et service rapide.

09/09/2024: Amazing. Fresh fried monkfish, straight from Castletownbere Harbour that morning. A family-run fish and chip van with the best fish and chips I've ever had. So good we went back the next day for more!

09/09/2024: We ordered Haddock and chips and were so surprised with what we received. The chips were cooked perfectly lovely and crispy and the haddock had a light batter, and was so succulent and flakey, probably one of the tastiest pieces of fish I’ve had in years. Would highly recommend.

28/10/2024: Paramos para comer el 18 de agosto la noche de Bantry Show Estoy discapacitado y no pudimos encontrar ningún aparcamiento disponible en Bantry, así que fuimos a Glengariff había aparcamiento para discapacitados en frente del centro médico, así que probamos Casey's y estaban llenos, así que el siguiente lugar era este lugar. No se veía muy bien, pero tengo articulaciones degenerativas y no podía caminar lejos. Mi comida estaba fría como una piedra y después de ser enviado de vuelta para ser recalentado todavía no estaba muy caliente mi marido's Fish cena no estaba mal Yo estaba terminando mi té mientras mi marido estaba en el bar para pagar la comida y el propietario trató de apresurarse a hacer espacio para otra pareja. Cuando me iba pregunté si había un baño allí y me dijeron que estaba arriba en la parte trasera del establecimiento pregunté si tenían un inodoro abajo que dijeron que tenían, pero había una función en esa habitación Jacks Restaurante así que no podía ir allí. Descubrí que después de eso mi marido trató de pagar la cuenta con su tarjeta y tendría que ir al lado del restaurante para eso, pero tenía dinero en efectivo para pagar. Así que uno podría ir al lado a pagar pero no a usar el baño. Estoy visiblemente discapacitado y camino con un palo.
