West Cork Hotel in Skibbereen

Rooms were cold and not very clean. Rest of hotel was ok

The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Every visit here has been good. Skibbereen is a wonderful little town and the West Cork Hotel is right in the heart of it, over looking the picturesque river Ilen. My last trip was unfortunately marred by some unruly children that were part of a confirmation party. After 3 bangs on my door, I asked staff to try calm them down. Unfortunately it happened twice more. I do feel the hotel staff should have done more to deal with the noise and rowdiness. Talk to the parents. I paid for what I hoped would be a quiet night. But other than that my stay was good as always.

Great meal service and staff excellent

Visited on two different occasions, one for dinner and one to stay. On our visit to stay we got seating on the bridge, which is a great feature of the hotel. We both ordered and waited for food to arrived. My food arrived by my partner's didn't, when they came to check on the table it's like his order never went in and waited again for his order to come, which eventually did. Food was ok, experience left a sour taste, no apologies. Stayed here at a later occasion as we were attending a family wedding at another venue. Our rooms weren't ready which was fine, we left our bags and went to enjoy the day. On arrival back late after the wedding we went to get our room key and there was alot of confusion with mixing up family members and rooms and that we didn't have a room. After about a half hour or so we eventually got our key to find out bags were in that room all along. Room was fine, after all the confusion we just wanted to sleep.

Stopped in there recently Coffee ^ scone 7.50! Ciffee was dreadful ,the scone was good .Staff were lovely .

Stopped in with family for some food... Was delicous matched with great service, cosy venue and friendly staff... Loved the Chowder.

My time at the West Cork Hotel, and in Skibbereen, was wonderful. The staff, particularly a handsome Hungarian gentleman at the front desk, were welcoming and helped make my stay very positive. The hotel was beautiful and my room provided me with a great sleep and a comfortable stay in an ideal location. Considering that I was traveling alone, during the quiet days between Christmas and New Years, I found myself enjoying the charm of a small town that punches well above its weight. Great food (The Chrurch), great shopping (Field’s, and others), great pubs, and more. I hope to visit Skibbereen and The West Cork again in the near future. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
