Riverside Cafe in Skibbereen

Pretty spot by the river. Pleasant server, food came quick. My only complaint was the food is quite overpriced for what you are getting.

A truly delightful meal and superb service despite our large party (9 people). We were a little surprised that they continued serving dishes around 4 pm, but they remained of very high quality. A real treat!

Very reasonable prices, really good yummy homemade food. Loved all the desserts and I loved that the Tuscan orange cake came with yogurt. I think that’s a must have. Great selection of taste things. Everything was perfectly cooked and came fairly quickly. Perfectly Runny eggs. Great scrambled too.

A very nice café/restaurant with a garden terrace overlooking the river. Pleasant in good weather. Delicious homemade toast.

Came for a brunch on a Tuesday in June. Lovely staff, fab food. Moderately busy,(maybe a third full at 11am). Enjoyed a lovely cup of badger and dodo coffee and a really delicious huevos rancheros. If you would like to sit outside there is a small street front seating area and a larger outside area at the back near the river. The day I visited there was no view of the river as the glass on the riverbank needs a good clean and the restaurant probably has no control over this as it's outside of their property. It's a pity as it's a lovely view in the photos I have seen online and adds to the restaurants charm. Highly recommend though.

We sat on the terrace overlooking the river, in the shade. The food was delicious and the service friendly. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

We found this place by chance when looking for somewhere to have lunch. It was excellent. We had the daily special which was Hake with brown rice, which was great for me as I have diabetes. We also had two glasses of excellent wine and desserts. Coffee was good, as was the service. Worth a visit if you’re in Skibbereen.
