02/04/2024: We were looking to dine here for a while & finally made a booking. We weren’t disappointed.
We had the tasting menu with flight of wines. A beautiful understated restaurant using very local ingredients, cooked beautifully with excellent staff. One of our best meals we’ve had recently.
Only drawback was no spirt license, but didn’t dent the experience.
Make sure you book a taxi or have a designated driver if you’re not staying local. (They have a non alcoholic drink pairing option - didn’t try this, organised a taxi). Well worth the detour & effort to enjoy the food & experience.
We will be back.

16/11/2023: Returning home from a trip to Cork, tired and hungry. Decided to stop on our way home.. Delighted we did. We had the pasta with crab and the chicken with mushrooms and cream sauce. They were both PERFECT! Needed to ask for more bread to mop up the lovely sauce! House white wine really lovely.
Very friendly, chatty staff.. I am afraid we didn't get names, but mother and daughter.
Will be back!

31/01/2024: Ordered chicken sandwich, potatoes cold, chicken tasted processed, over cooked, dry and inedible. Won't be back, used to love it there

05/01/2024: Very disappointed. Came here over xmas for takeaway only to find after getting home that both orders were literally burnt black. If we had eaten there we certainly would have taken it straight back. Now this is the second incident we've had - consecutively. Will Not Be Going Here Again!!

23/03/2024: The woman who runs Hudson's now is unfriendly, rude, and can be quite unpleasant sometimes. The prices are high, it is hard to find things, and in my experience they nearly always round the price up to the nearest 10¢, never down.
I suggest instead Organico in Bantry or Goodness Foods in Skibbereen, both of which have pleasant staff and which I can recommend.

22/02/2024: What an experience. Served by a very cranky woman. Herself and the man working there spent the time we were waiting for the food squabbling. He seemed pleasant and smiled at us when he caught our eye.
We were laughing amongst ourselves that it was either going to be the best chipper food or the worst. Alas it was the worst.
Chips, frozen and poor quality, under cooked and could have done with a second fry.
Fish was awful, tasted strongly of fish- never a good sign.
Chicken fillet burger was bland and dry.
