23/07/2026: I have no complaints about the talbot hotel in midtown. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was very spacious especially with us having a toddler with us the only 1 downfall was we were looking forward to the swimming pool but the temperature of the water was freezing my toddler was shivering with the cold in the water and spend all of 3/4 minutes in the pool. But over all we enjoyed our first family holiday in the hotel.
16/07/2026: Very easy to book . From the time we arrived to book in , the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and comfortable, spotlessly clean .
It was our anniversary and the staff arranged chocolates in the room which was a lovely touch of kindness.
The breakfast was delicious, a great range . We definitely will be back again.

19/07/2026: The food great here the have a student saver box. The sausages are all different and delishpus and so is there potatoes. the people make it too. Makes a huge difference when people are passionate about your food.
16/07/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Cork. My wife and children wanted to try it, and we weren't disappointed! The staff was very friendly, and the selection was impressive! The hot dogs were beautiful, large, and delicious!

07/07/2026: A great bar to have a drink on a sunny day, great atmosphere and buzz around the place. The food is very good iv had the chicken and fish goujons both were very tasty and served with a very nice salad. The service is also very good and the staff are great hosts.
02/07/2026: The Bank House Pub is Ireland. We are anchored off the island. In the dinghy we ride to the ferry dock. 1 house, 1 pub. Irish mist. Inside a totally warm welcome. Fantastic.

09/08/2026: Lovely cafe in an iconic and much photographed little laneway coffee was good served by pleasant and cheerful staff. The stunning weather highlighted a very picturesque setting.

13/06/2026: The staff here are top class, always friendly, helpful and polite. The only thing that beats them is the food which is absolutely on fire, 100%+ every time , a tad on the pricey side but I don't care, just take all of my money, I've been in twice a day on occasion.

31/07/2026: The food is always fresh and very tasty, and the fresh beer is excellent. The interior has a lovely design, with some outdoor seating available. Dogs are welcome, but only in the outside seating area. It's a popular place, so be sure to book in advance as it's usually very busy.
31/07/2026: Beautiful location with a great view. Stopped in for a pint and ended up coming back for dinner. Pil pil prawns were a bit disappointing. No spice or flavor, just tasted like prawns in oil. The fish and chips were ok. My Hugo spritz definitely had flat 7up in it so lacked the spritz unfortunately.

20/06/2026: A cook or chef should know the difference between Cajun chicken and blackened chicken (Google it), but I ordered the later and my partner ordered the former, and the chicken looked the same. Mine was also dry and I had to add mayo to it just to make it palatable. The battered jalapenos were much better. As for atmosphere - too much noise. I should have sent it back before starting on it but I too... chicken...

07/09/2025: Bring your own pillows and tvs are cheap with only a few channels but location is great and breakfast is good although coffee wasn’t so good
07/09/2025: The lobby on entering the hotel was fabulous. But as soon as we got to our room that’s where it ended. Bathroom was not clean, Stains around the bin on the floor, problem with the hose for the shower, kept popping off the shower head, silicone around shower base has mould on it. At €277 a night I thought we would have a mini fridge or cooler in the room but we didn’t.
