Blackbird in Ballycotton

The Blackbird and Trawler boys is a great place. Well priced pints and the best chowder in Cork. I'd say very nearly the best chowder in Munster. The food prices in Trawler boys are reasonable too. Costs are kept low by you ordering your own food.

Great cozy pub with live music in the evening and good Irish food.

You cannot beat a proper Irish bar with live music EVERY WEEK, multiple times at that. They always have a mix, it could be rock, folk, trad, dj, and general mix. They also serve food through the trawler boys. And they cater for afters of weddings or birthdays etc.

No fault to name, despite being usually busy. Food was excellent (Seafood lovers- YES!!) It can only be fresh in Ballycotton for sure!!!! Newly created outdoors area is a real bonus. Plenty of seating and tables for family or small groups meeting up. Parking a short distance away on street! Beautiful walk to the pier and back, to create an appetite is a very good idea too. Usually music in the Bar.
