Absolutely amazing gastronomic experience at The Salty Dog in Ballycotton. The tuna tataki was honestly some of the best tuna Iβve had in a very long time β comparable to what I had in Hawaii. The chef clearly knows exactly what heβs doing.
The bruschetta was also outstanding, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. Everything we had was excellent.
Add to that the amazing views, great atmosphere, and friendly service, and it made for a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended.
If you are seeing older positive reviews here they are in relation to Cush previous occupier. The Salty Dog offers classical pub cuisine at premium rates. That's a grub but hardly worth a special trip, any other location next door does absolutely the same. Not to be funny but Salty has a sarcastic meaning here as food was a bit bland.
Had some food here today after watching the Limerick V Cork match and doing Ballycotton Clif Walk. The restaurant and bar were spotless and so cosy. The barman was polite and friendly and the food was devine and so tasty, with big portions taco pulled pork 10/10 Seafood Chowder delicious full of chunky fish and really tasty served with a lovely fresh Brown Bread 10/10. Couldn't fault anything only Cork beating Limerick ππ
Very nice place, not the best table near window I wanted, but food was tasty for the price. I got Italian fish pot - if you are fan of tomato soup - you will be delighted.
Good woman Breda !!! The best Bread & Butter pudding youβll ever have !!!
