Oh my goodness this place is so neat! Just imagine this: a perfect cozy inn nestled in a picturesque Irish village with the best desserts! The staff were so kind and very attentive! We both stayed at the inn and had lunch and dinner there! The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable - even my son, Gene, got a great night’s sleep, and let’s just say he’s “a little” particular about his sleeping set up (HAH! 🤣). No complaints from anyone in our family! I’d definitely recommend staying in the inn if you can, but the restaurant is a MUST!! The food was a delight! My kiddo, Louise, got the quiche of the day for lunch - it was salami and goat cheese and she said she loved it! And they gave her a huge piece - it was like a fifth of a big quiche! My hubby got the sandwich and he said it was as good if not better than one of mine - and that’s a high bar to clear (if I do say so myself 😉). The main food was all delightful, but if you only have room for one bite, get dessert first. OH. MY. GAWD. the desserts are D-I-V-I-N-E: DIVINE 🤩. My daughter, Tina, scoped it out before ordering lunch and came back and told us she ordered dessert already. I started to ask if she was joking when the wait staff brought over not one, not two, but THREE AMAZING desserts: I guess my teeny Tina couldn’t wait and got the coffee square, the tiramisu, and the carrot cake. My hubby LOVES carrot cake, but it had walnuts in it so I had to personally abstain for allergy reasons, but he is STILL raving about it, and let’s just say he’s hard to impress (HAH! 🤣). Seriously, though, these desserts were AMAZING! The tiramisu was PERFECT! It was just sweet enough with excellent coffee flavor. I mean, heck, there was enough espresso in there I felt like I hadn’t even drunken my margarita after! Oh, it was SO good! This momma bear 🐻 LOOOVES tiramisu, but I’ve got to admit, the coffee square was my favorite! The cake was moist and baked perfectly. And, oh, the icing! It was very sweet, but momma’s got a sweet tooth! It was caramelly and perfect. It was so good I got a second piece to go for a midnight snack! Ugh, I’m going to miss those desserts. I have GOT to shout out the baker behind the magic: Breda! We asked and she works there and found out she makes all of these slices of heaven routinely. Breda, you go girl! You’ve got one (excuse my language 🤭) HECK of a talent 🫶🤩!

We had coffee and cake one day, and dinner the following day here. Service was fantastic and the food was great.

Super dog friendly both in accommodation and dining/bar areas. Food, drinks, staff and cleanliness were all amazing. Only note is a dressing table would be a great addition to the bedroom.

Understaffed during a Monday evening, so they had to work very hard, but did so, to their credit, with smiles on their faces. The fish and chips and burger were very good. We stayed here on recommendation and because of that didn't do our normal research, regretfully not reading the Salty Dog's small print so were surprised when told they did not serve breakfasts on Mondays and Tuesdays and the pub was completely closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Location is great if you want to visit Ballycotton, however I recommend you do so on a weekend. On Mondays and Tuesdays everywhere else in the village is shut. Our room was pretty small and hot in the unexpected May warmth - which, I guess, we shouldn't complain about. The noise from the air conditioner outside the window was intrusive and sadly this unit was not for the room... On the plus side the room had a great view of the lighthouse. To summarise: good place for a pub meal meal but less so to stay. Addition: we checked out after only 1 of the 3 nights we booked and to their credit they have refunded us.

Family of 6. Very good food choices , service was good and the food was excellent, will be back.
