We came for drinks in the atmospheric basement bar before dinner across the courtyard. Fantastic very inventive cocktail selection, which was delivered with a smile and introduction of the ingredients. Only slight minus was the inexplicable placement of our reservation right next to (almost on top of!) another group despite the place being half empty when we arrived. The team were gracious in moving us but it left a slightly disappointing note (hence knocking a star off). Live music was just starting as we left at 745pm and looked / sounded good. Would go back

We had such a wonderful evening at Oriole! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish.I was celebrating my birthday, and there were several other celebrations taking place that evening too. The musicians created such a warm, festive and joyful atmosphere, making everyone feel part of something truly special. It wasn’t just a performance—it was an experience that made the evening unforgettable.The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the prices were very reasonable compared with other live jazz venues in London. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming.A special mention goes to the gentleman at the entrance (I’m so sorry I can’t remember his name). We enjoyed cocktails upstairs before heading down for dinner and the live music, and he looked after us brilliantly from the moment we arrived. He was warm, smiling, chatty and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we had the best possible experience.We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. We’ll definitely be back—long before the next birthday! Highly recommended to anyone looking for fantastic live music, delicious food, outstanding service and a truly memorable atmosphere.
