09/07/2025: Delicious food! Friendly people. We tried to visit on our first night in Cork but were too late (kitchen closed), the staff so kindly pointed us to what else was still open at that hour. We then tried on our last day in Cork and were very happy with the seafood we received. Personally, I’m surprised by the unexpected Thai - influence!

19/07/2025: Wow, the fish was incredible. Fresh & tasty. Dog friendly, too,l. Water provided in bowls for the animals. Lovely outdoor seating area, and it's great for dogs.

07/07/2025: Lovely food there last night with my wife, steak was excellent and her fish and chips really good. Cheesecake and brownie for desert was also top notch. Staff were lovely, we were very late but nothing was an issue. Recommend!
30/06/2025: As a local, I'd be in here more often if it wasn't for the absolutely insufferable music that's piped inside and out, because the breakfast I had was really nice. Staff could have been slightly more attentive, I didn't receive any condiments and they didn't come over to ask how the meal was going. Where I was sitting it was difficult to catch them too.

29/06/2025: Showed up at 7pm, and was told that I couldn't get food because they had a large table that just showed up and it would an hour so they'll be closed. Apart from that table, it wasn't busy. Surely it doesn't take all the staff to service one table. Joke, was looking forward to it too.
29/06/2025: We had two good meals there. It's somewhat hidden in a small alley.

04/07/2025: Our family of four had a wonderful breakfast at Ellen’s. We tried pancakes, French toast and the Eggs Benedict… all were wonderful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the other patrons were all locals. Highly recommend!

Great location, superb welcome, room really clean and spacious (and very quiet!), food excellent, parking plentiful.
I really can't fault my stay. Brilliant.
07/07/2025: Had a lovely roast dinner there on Sunday & the chef couldn’t have been nicer when I asked for something as my mother is 88yrs old & has a lot of allergies he was so helpful if my memory is correct I think his name was Peter so thank you & we’ll definitely be back 😊

06/07/2025: The food was poor. Frozen fish, and chips that were indestinguishable from McDonalds. This would be ok for €12, but €20!? The price is frankly appalling.
The food was out faster than any fast-food place I've ever been. God knows how it was made, or pre-made.
Dead on a busy, sunny day. This should have been a warning sign.
Possibly the worst food-per Euro I've seen in a long time. Buy a bag of crisps in the shop if you're hungry and go somewhere else. The service was fine, the people seemed nice.
03/07/2025: Visited on a Wednesday evening and we where greeted by lovely staff ,sat outside in a beautiful little garden with lots of evening sun coming through.
The menu has plenty of options and the food itself is really tasty,fish tacos are especially good and the key lime pie 🤤
The cocktails are made well and absolutely delicious also .
Overall it was a very relaxing and a lovely spot to drop in to and the staff make it even more so.

26/06/2025: Quaint little cafe with friendly, welcoming staff. Pretty decor and a happy atmosphere. The sort of place books are written about.
I went in and ate alone but didn’t feel awkward at all. Great coffee and fantastic food- I had a full Irish - The other reviews don’t disappoint, it was fantastic, the best black and white pudding I’ve ever eaten!

24/06/2025: Lovely Guesthouse, fabulous location. Food was excellent in the Restaurant evening and breakfast. Room was spacious, lovely view. Just needed some biscuits with the tea & coffee making facilities, would be nice and needed a bath mat in ensuite.
