27/10/2025: The food was delicious and very quick service here. Bathrooms (male) were spotless.

25/10/2025: This was our first and last experience at this place. We ordered calamari, and they brought us eight rings of calamari fried in stinking, stale oil, and a huge salad of stale vegetables! We paid 15€ for a stale salad 😳 and rancid oil! And yes, the beer was delicious, and so was the sea view, but that's about it! The service was terrible; they brought forks, knives, and napkins and threw them on the table, Without even wiping the table of grease and crumbs. Only the location and beautiful view save this establishment.

07/11/2025: My friends and I stayed at Ballymaloe House for a yoga retreat. We had a fabulous time and absolutely loved it! They served cake every day at 3pm, meals were farm to table and wonderful! They had craft made cocktails that were to die for. They even gave me the recipe for the Fig Sour drink they make with fresh figs. By the end of the retreat they had to make about 20 Fig Sours because we were all drinking them! I had a delightful room, and I think I perused the goods at the store every single day. The people at Ballymaloe House KNOW hospitality! I raise my Fig Sour to you!

30/09/2025: We arrived in town at 425 pm, most everything was closed or closing. They were sweeping floors, unlocked the door, made us a coffee and pastry. Lovely people would highly recommend it during business hours.

27/07/2025: A great place. We stopped there for a delicious and hearty breakfast. Fantastic coffee, reasonable prices, and very friendly service. Thank you to the lady from Kaszuby for taking care of us. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable, with a portion enough for even the most hungry. 👍😎 Ryszard

22/06/2025: It's a charming place. We were served in a very friendly and welcoming manner, even though there were eight people and service can be complicated, all the dishes came out at the same time. I shared a dish with another person, and when I told them, they brought us two individual plates with the shared dish. I thought it was a nice touch. As for the food, it was very good. I especially recommend the cheese and beetroot focaccia. It was perfectly balanced and flavorful. The Schnitzel was very crispy and juicy. Highly recommended for a leisurely meal. Thanks to the #cracked... bistro team for their service :)

30/10/2025: A fabulous dining experience at restaurant Chestnut. We had the four course set taster menu with wine pairing. From the warm greeting and service from Elaine and team to the DELICIOUS food prepared by Rob and the kitchen team the experience was incredible. The food was thought provoking and very tasty, Thank you 🙏

30/10/2025: Had the most amazing experience at The Chestnut Restaurant. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of all their produce and dishes. We couldn't fault anything we ate and the wine pairing was fabulous too. Yes! It's not cheap but you know why when you taste the delights they offer.

19/10/2025: An atmospheric restaurant in the city center. Its name refers to a historic event in 1631, when pirates from Algiers invaded the town and kidnapped all the inhabitants. Only two people returned from captivity. The menu is traditional, yet enhanced with African spices. The decor evokes Arab and Berber culture. A unique history and a unique place. I highly recommend it.

28/09/2025: The Algiers is a wonderful place for a delicious supper or a great brunch. If you’re not hungry it does a great pint.

10/09/2025: We stopped here with friends. We tried the creamy seafood chowder, lamb stew, haddock and chips and buffalo burger. We enjoyed everything and I can only recommend it.

28/08/2025: Excellent restaurant with a very friendly owner. We tried the salmon, duck, and coconut curry chicken, all very well cooked. Excellent desserts! Very typical interior. Very clean restrooms. Top notch!

23/09/2025: We arrived at night, when all the cats are gray, and although the room seemed expensive, well, oh well... In the morning, I moved the duvet and found a tissue stuck on it: Did we sleep on unchangeable sheets? The carpet, I think, was pissed off by the vacuum cleaner. Anyway, I'm giving it two stars for the breakfast, which wasn't bad. I don't recommend it.

01/12/2025: What a delightful pub. Can't believe i waited so long to go in. I'm not one much for sports, which was on the big screen. But once the music started, count me in! Had a cheeky shandy, chatted with a lovely couple at a table, and had such a tasty bowl of beef and Guiness stew. Guitarist playing some Irish tunes rounded off the evening. Couldn't have passed a nice evening.

12/11/2025: We wandered out from our hotel room on a rainy evening in mid-November, knowing that many of Kinsale's restaurants were likely to be closed. I'd scoped Kitty's on Google and knew they had food (and a good pint), and it didn't disappoint. We were seated immediately in the comfortable dining area and made to feel welcome by the friendly young staff. My wife enjoyed her Irish Stew very much, and my seafood chowder was excellent, with just a touch of sherry that brightened the flavor subtly. The local Kinvara Pale Ale was delicious as well.

26/11/2025: My wife and I had a wonderful meal at Jim Edwards. The food and wine was high quality and the service was outstanding!

07/10/2025: I recently took my Wife to Jim Edwards for lunch on 20th September 2025. From start to finish the experience was fantastic and the quality of both food and service was simply superb. We were staying locally and our hostess informed me that this establishment has been in business for a considerable period, that it is Jim's son who is now in charge and that this pub/restaurant has been operating at a very high level as long as she could remember. Very grateful for a lovely experience and incredible food. Looking forward to visiting again.
