The Overdraught

03/12/2025: Went out to the Overdraught last Friday as a group of 10 to celebrate Thanksgiving, food was fantastic and plentiful, staff were attentive and very courteous , highly recommend the place.
16/11/2025: Visited there lately, the food was fabulous. And the portions were very generous. Too generous for me. I highly recommend the Overdraught. It deserves our support to keep it in the community.

11/01/2026: Food is always so fresh and delicious. Their scampi is worth travelling for as is all the fish. The roast dinners are always gorgeous and tender, and homemade. Then for lunch, the soups and paninis are delicious, especially with the homecooked ham in the toasted sambos.
23/09/2025: We arrived at night, when all the cats are gray, and although the room seemed expensive, well, oh well... In the morning, I moved the duvet and found a tissue stuck on it: Did we sleep on unchangeable sheets? The carpet, I think, was pissed off by the vacuum cleaner. Anyway, I'm giving it two stars for the breakfast, which wasn't bad.
I don't recommend it.

27/10/2025: Absolutely lovely evening spent here. Food was excellent and a very high quality with loads of lovely flavours. The atmosphere was cosy and kind. It was not pretentious at all. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you had everything and enjoyed your evening.
23/10/2025: This is a gem of a restaurant in Kinsale. I visited with colleagues on a weekday evening and had a wonderful time.
Everything was excellent, especially the fish steak, which was the best I've had in Europe. The staff were friendly, and the wine they recommended paired well with it.
I'd love to visit again.

22/06/2025: After moving to the area we finally got to visit and we wasn’t disappointed.
It’s great that you can have a drink in the bar area and have a look at the menu before moving through to the restaurant.
All our dishes were fantastic and they have a great wine selection.
This is the sort of place you could enjoy a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine or a bowl of mussels with a pint of lager.
Many more visits to follow hopefully!

Coffee shop 2 mins from hotel.
Rooms niceand big, clean and great view of the harbour. Big bathroom. Breakfast lots of choice, staff friendly. Pub attached to hotel and various rooms to relax in. Adam on reception very helpful made our stay !
