The breakfast (all day?!?) was really lovely and €14 is a relatively okay price for the size and included tea. The waiters were really friendly and the outdoor seating is gorgeous

17/08/2025: I was quite disappointed with this place. The lady that sat me was really nice. But then I waited and waited for the young waiter to come and take my order. The burger itself was super dry and tasteless. He didn't ask how I wanted the meat cooked. The fries were slightly undercooked.
16/08/2025: Beautifully decorated café in the heart of Kinsale. The service was very friendly, even to our two-year-old daughter. 🙂
The food was served quickly, was of good quality, and plentiful. Tip: the beef sandwich. It felt like half a ox in the bun.
The price is fair considering the service and quality.

Thank you to the lady from Kaszuby for taking care of us. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable, with a portion enough for even the most hungry. 👍😎 Ryszard

We were served in a very friendly and welcoming manner, even though there were eight people and service can be complicated, all the dishes came out at the same time. I shared a dish with another person, and when I told them, they brought us two individual plates with the shared dish. I thought it was a nice touch. As for the food, it was very good. I especially recommend the cheese and beetroot focaccia. It was perfectly balanced and flavorful. The Schnitzel was very crispy and juicy. Highly recommended for a leisurely meal. Thanks to the #cracked... bistro team for their service :)

08/07/2025: We visited the Roaring Donkey twice on 2 consecutive days, despite it being a bit of a hike up the hill to get there. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with chatty staff and patrons alike. We came away having learned quite a bit about Hurling. A great selection of drinks and I only wish that my local back home had more than one stout on offer. And the bonus for us .. it was downhill on the way back.

28/07/2025: Live music and golf with no sound on TVs. Seafood chowder and Beef & Guinness stew were delicious, Booking recommended as both bar and restaurant were busy with what appeared to be mostly tourists.

Both the starters and the main courses were super: my husband had a pan seared duck breast, my daughter had beef, and I had fish. The cheesecake: top choice! The staff is very kind and helpful! 30/06/2025: Stayed here 2 nights with my partner for my birthday. The staff were absolutely brilliant, always friendly. Breakfast was stunning & my partner enjoyed her wagyu steak. The leisure facilities are spot on, the rooms are brilliant.
Will most certainly look to revisit.
