The place is very quiet and beautiful. My meal came so quickly, ~10 minutes and it was served. Great staff with nice people, solid 10/10.

We went here as a group of six, the quality of food was phenomenal, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, clean toilets. There is a lot to choose from in the menu and there is a vast array of desserts. My compliments to the chef. 😁

We were on our way home from limerick to cork and stopped for Sunday lunch. Great food and 2 of few for €40 which was 2 dinners 2 minerals and a desert desert

Staff are extremely friendly and seem to be happy in their work. Make you feel they are happy to serve you. Have had dinner and lunch on different occasions.

Tigh Mheaic

25/05/2026: Called in for fish and chips at Tigh Mheaic and wasn't disappointed. The fish was excellent, fresh and properly cooked. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere on top of that. Well worth a stop if you're in Carna.

McHughs Traditional Pub & Restaurant

11/06/2026: We stayed overnight in our Van in the top carpark thanks to the hospitality of the landlord. The breakfast was amazing 1 full Irish with toast & coffee. 1 eggs benedict & coffee. The Guiness the evening before was welcome too! Lovely staff 👌
01/06/2026: This forward-thinking landlord has created a peaceful, level area for RV's and campervans at this lovely pub. My husband was hospitalised leaving me alone with a dog who has fits under stress, in our van. I was'nt able to go every day but I don't know what I would have done without them and their kindness. Thank you.
