Recently had a joint Communion meal for my son and nephew in the valley inn. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The food is always spot on, the service is friendly and consistent, and the whole atmosphere keeps me coming back. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such a high standard over time. Highly recommended.

Very popular and busy restaurant, competing strongly with Donegan's on price and quality of food. It would be very wise to book at the weekends. Sunday lunch menu served until 3.30pm. A dearer Dinner à la carte menu is served from 4.45pm on a Sunday. Lovely food, but big portions. Option of dining in the restaurant or in the more casual bar. Pool table available. Very friendly,local staff. Function room for private parties at the rear. Recommended.

11/04/2026: Had a steak sandwich here a few weeks ago and it was probably one of the best I have ever eaten. Crisp bread, good quality steak, mushrooms, an onion ring and pepper sauce for 20 quid is a steal these days. Restaurant is beautifully designed and very modern. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area. Paddy’s next door is nice for a pint but this is the place to eat

Ballymaloe House

17/05/2026: We had an amazing experience here! We spent 3 nights at Ballymaloe and loved every minute. It is an absolutely stunning hotel in the peaceful Irish countryside. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, had heated floors and a heated towel rack, and the comfiest bed! Our room even had a small patio overlooking the gardens. Service was great as well. The morning breakfast was absolutely delicious and the afternoon tea and cake was a nice way to spend an afternoon. We had the 5 course dinner on property one night- which was also delicious. The employees are all so kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend Ballymaloe to anyone! And would love to come back one day!
