For the third time we we re lucky enough to have Dinner in the cottage : delicious food, beautiful Presentation , and excellent Service . We look forward to our next visit to Carrick on Shannon . Thank you

Set in a charming village just outside Carrick, the restaurant offers a four-course menu is an absolute steal at €60 per head given the top-tier quality. We upgraded to the Wagyu for an extra €20, and it was delicious. With just a couple of minor adjustments, this could easily become a destination restaurant. Highly recommended

Beautiful little place to eat 4 of us two couples ate here for my brothers birthday last night and it was exceptional the pate the pork belly. The bread the duck its very perfectly cooked the staff were very warm professional a magical experience compliments to the chef 👩‍🍳 WOW a masterpiece at work here. I know good food done well as ive eaten out in many place's. this really is art on a place good food done well perfect marriage of flavours well done 👏

Lovely award winning restaurant

I'm just back from a Sunday lunch visit to The Cottage and had to immediately write a short review. It was exceptional. Sometimes you're handed a menu and there's only one or two options that appeal to you - making your choice of starter and main course easy - but this is not the way The Cottage rolls. Plenty of options, lots of variety and I wanted all of them - but eventually chose tuna to start and duck for my main. The food was beautifully presented, delicately seasoned and in the case of my duck main, served in monstrously big portions. Every bite was delicious but to then hit me with a dessert trolley and a waitress who seems to have taken a leaf out of Mrs Doyles book ('Ah go on, have another little bit') was more than my waistline could bear. EUR40 for the Sunday lunch menu is an absolute steal. The food was amazing, the setting in historic Jamestown was lovely and the staff were warm & welcoming. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is high-end, and at the top of its game. It radiates professionalism and high standards throughout. In particular, the front of house manager, Sylvia, is an excellent host, and could not do enough for us on our visit last night. She is a great asset to the business. In addition, the quality of the food, and the complexity of the flavours were a tribute to the chef and his assistance in the kitchen. They deserve a gold medal. We shall be back ✅

Dining at The Cottage with family was a wonderful experience The staff and food were par excellence! Go and enjoy if you happen to pass by - you won't be disappointed!

Nice little restaurant. Service was great all round. First course pâté was the best I've had in a long time. The scallops were perfectly cooked, went well with everything else on the plate, and the roe was left on (ideal). The lamb pastry and the crispy coconut rice dishes were very nice. The inconsistency in the size of the garnish on the rice was a bit weird though and felt unfitting. Halibut dish was alright. Every element of the dish was amazing, except for the halibut itself. Just a bit plain and a bit overcooked for me. Guinea fowl was lovely. Poached pear dessert was amazing. The baked Alaska was world class. Good portion sizes. I see myself returning
