04/08/2026: Amazing experience! Manager John and all his staff provide a warm and friendly welcome. Gardens are beautiful and extensive. Food in Cafe is delicious. House and museum wonderful and such an important part of our history...highly highly recommend.

03/08/2026: Visited here mid week in July and bought tickets without pre ordering on-line. The place wasn't very busy though there was about 20 people on our guided tour. We really enjoyed the tour of the house, it was fantastic to see all the old original artefacts and the rooms etc. The gardens were also nice to walk in. Our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and the tour lasted about an hour. Well worth doing.

11/08/2026: For the third time we we re lucky enough to have Dinner in the cottage : delicious food, beautiful Presentation , and excellent Service . We look forward to our next visit to Carrick on Shannon . Thank you

03/08/2026: Set in a charming village just outside Carrick, the restaurant offers a four-course menu is an absolute steal at €60 per head given the top-tier quality. We upgraded to the Wagyu for an extra €20, and it was delicious. With just a couple of minor adjustments, this could easily become a destination restaurant. Highly recommended

24/07/2026: Just a one night stay but very pleased with our experience. Beautiful lakeside location, very spacious and comfortable room and excellent restaurant. The service in the restaurant was very prompt and overall staff were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the pool although, being high season, it was busy. Would definitely come again.

28/06/2026: Huge hotel set on a lake. Fabulous pool and leisure facilities. Room was spacious and tastefully designed. Lobby on arrival a bit hectic and chaotic but the staff were very nice and got everyone checked in as soon as possible. Ate in the bar, it was fine not memoeable. Breakfast was very good.i would reccommend this hotel especiallt for families.

31/07/2026: If you are looking for a great lunch spot, look no further than Norio's! I had a lovely portion of fish and chips with a vanilla milkshake today for just €16.50, which is fantastic value. The first thing I noticed was how pristine and clean the whole place is—even the washroom was immaculate. The staff were all so pleasant and friendly. It started getting really busy just as I was leaving at lunch hour, which shows exactly how good this place is. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

15/08/2026: We were a group of seven dining here and, despite it being his first day, our server was absolutely fantastic. He was genuinely lovely, friendly, attentive and did everything he could to look after us. Given the circumstances, he handled himself really well and deserves a lot of credit. That said, we did feel it was unfair that someone on their very first day was left to deal with a busy restaurant and a large table, as well as cover the bar & drinks under so much pressure, apparently without anyone properly supervising or supporting him. This isn’t a criticism of the server at all, quite the opposite. He did a great job despite being put in a very difficult position. Hopefully the management can take this as constructive feedback, because leaving a new member of staff to fend for themselves on a busy first shift doesn’t reflect particularly well on the restaurant’s training or quality standards. Overall, our server was excellent and couldn’t have been nicer. We just hope he’s given the support and training he deserves going forward.

15/08/2026: We were passing through and stopped at this lovely pub. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious and arrived quickly. They even had non-alcoholic Guinness. Thank you so much! It made my day.

02/08/2026: Wow what a wonderful place so welcomming.loads of crack great trad sessions .pub is amazing loadz of room out back for campervan parking 10 euro a night cant go wrong so peaceful at night .i slept great last night.we met gene the owner such a lovely person.stayed 2 nights will deffo b back again cant wait🥳

24/07/2026: We stayed overnight here in our motorhome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gene, the owner, is a character and a lovely man and his barman Kyle is a really nice lad. It was a Wednesday night and locals and visitors alike played music and sang, the atmosphere is very good and welcoming. The Guinness was first class, Gene even told me to pull my own pint as he was busy, lol. I would highly recommend a visit here if you're anywhere near Carrick on Shannon, it's only 4.5km outside the town. The pub opens at 8pm and the music sessions are on a Wednesday and Saturday nights although I believe there is also music on other nights. There was about 10 motorhomes parked up for the night and the carpark is far enough in from the road that it's nice and quiet. There's an honesty box, a drinking water tap and a book library for motorhome visitors.

18/07/2026: Stopped for lunch yesterday. Delicious food, great choice, lovely and fresh. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend.

10/07/2026: Lovely chill coffee shop with good coffee and lovely artisan good. The staff make the place too. Always so lovely - even when your kid knocks over a hot chocolate. They came and cleaned it up and replaced it free of charge.

11/06/2026: Thank you Mary, Declan and your wonderful staff on making my maiden visit to your cafe and bakery an absolute treat! From my initial welcome after my early train journey from Dublin to my goodbye your hospitality is ‘on another level’. Angie your waitress allowed me the use of her phone charger. Where would you get it? To ‘put the tin hat on it’ Mary the owner downloaded the train timetable for me, how thoughtful. Needless to say I will be back! Thank you all for making my difficult visit to Roscommon Hospital memorable for all the right reasons. Mulloy’s cafe and bakery(yummy food ) is a gem, it is located beside the train station with parking! Just drop in, a real treat awaits you!

14/08/2026: What a credit to owners and staff. Super food, lovely listed period fort, and well worth a visit for a bite to eat and a coffee, all while overlooking the River Shannon. A lovely spot!

21/04/2026: Lovely staff here, truly. My service dog was very welcome, they had to check in the restaurant but it was no problem at all in the end. The staff was super sweet to her as well. Our room was comfortable and clean. For breakfast there's a menu to choose from. I had full irish on the first morning which was very tasty. On the second morning I had pancakes which were fluffy and not too sweet. Coffee and tea in the room which was great as well. Thanks for the lovely stay.

23/03/2026: Had sons confirmation there and we were made to feel unwelcome as staff just rushed everything out to us ..won't be going there again as some staff rolled eyes when asked for anything, family unfriendly atmosphere

18/08/2026: We were traveling out of lough Key by boat and by chance we found the moorings on Google. We called and got a place offered to moor in the marina. The owner met us and helped us get pulled in. The service in the pub was great with a very friendly waitress serving us. A great place to stop in future.

09/08/2026: Had amazing food two nights in a row , great place to eat really much better food than anywhere I’ve eaten in Wicklow

04/08/2026: Staff so nice with to staff from work and one of the girls 2 kids and the staff could not have been better. Food 10 out of 10.

31/07/2026: I got the "fresh burgers" but I thought that I would get an actual burger, and not a patty. That wasn't the main problem. The patty was chewy, mushy, and tasteless. The carrots were hard, cold, and tasted uncooked. The mash was somehow salty and dry. The cabbage was hard and unpleasant. The potatoes tasted like plastic. The trays were also quite sticky, and some had crumbs on them. They obviously weren't washed too well, if at all. Also the smell when coming through the front door was putrid, but only lasted a minute or two. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and kind.
