The best restaurants in Roscommon

20/08/2026: I was passing through Roscommon and came across this place. Friendly service, clean, and very good food. I recommend it.

31/07/2026: If you are looking for a great lunch spot, look no further than Norio's! I had a lovely portion of fish and chips with a vanilla milkshake today for just €16.50, which is fantastic value. The first thing I noticed was how pristine and clean the whole place is—even the washroom was immaculate. The staff were all so pleasant and friendly. It started getting really busy just as I was leaving at lunch hour, which shows exactly how good this place is. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

09/09/2026: Molloy's have been producing some super tasty cakes, breads and other fantastic goodies since I was a wee lad. I had the pleasure of working for the family back when they had the supermarket on main street and the sweet smell of freshly baked bread filled the air if main street from the early hrs. Since they moved to Abbey st to concentrate on baking, they've perfected the art of producing some truly magical treats. Me and my family look forward to our special occasions where we sit and decide what type of cake we want. Every request is met and nothing is left out 😊 So thank you Declan, Mary and family for making our special day's even tastier 😋

22/08/2026: A precious little place the people were very sweet and the pastries were great. Near the train station which is very convenient, tons of stuff you can buy to take with you or eat at the location. We'll be back.

09/09/2026: Always has the best value & service here with friendly & helpful staff. Everything you need at one stop & impeccably well kept premises.

02/09/2026: Great opening hours and loads of parking

06/10/2026: Quirky little spot, with good food.

13/08/2026: Fantastic café with great coffee, cakes and more. Beautiful courtyard at the back. Also friendly and attentive staff.

21/04/2026: Lovely staff here, truly. My service dog was very welcome, they had to check in the restaurant but it was no problem at all in the end. The staff was super sweet to her as well. Our room was comfortable and clean. For breakfast there's a menu to choose from. I had full irish on the first morning which was very tasty. On the second morning I had pancakes which were fluffy and not too sweet. Coffee and tea in the room which was great as well. Thanks for the lovely stay.

23/03/2026: Had sons confirmation there and we were made to feel unwelcome as staff just rushed everything out to us ..won't be going there again as some staff rolled eyes when asked for anything, family unfriendly atmosphere

04/08/2026: Staff so nice with to staff from work and one of the girls 2 kids and the staff could not have been better. Food 10 out of 10.

31/07/2026: I got the "fresh burgers" but I thought that I would get an actual burger, and not a patty. That wasn't the main problem. The patty was chewy, mushy, and tasteless. The carrots were hard, cold, and tasted uncooked. The mash was somehow salty and dry. The cabbage was hard and unpleasant. The potatoes tasted like plastic. The trays were also quite sticky, and some had crumbs on them. They obviously weren't washed too well, if at all. Also the smell when coming through the front door was putrid, but only lasted a minute or two. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and kind.

26/09/2026: Been in here a few times lately and service has been great. Today was no different. Got served by a girl named Zoey and she was happy to discuss dietary requirements for my partner. I ordered a chicken and chorizo toastie and it was delicious! Cooked perfectly! I will be in again and recommend everyone else passing by to stop in..

26/09/2026: Nice cafe but avoid the new club special. Soggy bread and relish. Not good.

19/05/2026: A fabulous and welcoming pub, the staff are so welcoming and cater for every occasion. Hats off to the lads under the watchful eye of Michelle. Well done all.

29/04/2026: Popped in as staying in nearby hotel & found a great pub. Barman on duty was Dale & couldn’t do enough to help, even ordered our takeaway pizza for us. Highly recommend this pub. We will be back every night of our stay, 10 of 10 for service & welcome atmosphere

22/09/2026: My partner lives in Roscommon and I live in England, whenever I visit him I always request to come to this restaurant. The food is always really flavourful, perfect levels of spice and seasoning and comes in generous portions. We’ve also ordered takeaway from here and you can get an amazing value meal deal which comes with a starter, main and rice etc. Complimentary poppadoms with lovely dips is always a bonus whenever we visit. I’d recommend the chilli chicken starter and the butter chicken. By far the best butter chicken I’ve ever had - the flavour is rich and delightful. Finally, the staff are kind and always very attentive. I’m excited to visit again soon!

17/09/2026: Only frozen vegetable used in the dish. It was not fresh vegetable. Was not cooked fully. I had food twice in your restaurant. Only one guy servicing all the customes. This is poor service. Not very friendly either.

07/09/2026: Best pub in Roscommon. Paul the owner and his team are outstanding

06/07/2026: First time in this pub, sat near the stage, when my brother's + family were over. In not putting a price down, cause I didn't spend any money, my beer's bought for me, by the family

09/07/2026: Nice enough cafe present staff seating but strange but that cant be helped.

19/04/2026: Slow service but coffee was lovely and so was scone

26/09/2026: Food is tasteless and the staff can be ignorant

16/09/2026: Great selection of food to suit everyone Clean and tidy Staff are always helpful

10/09/2026: Lovely coffee and protein balls definitely be coming back

29/04/2026: One of the best coffee shops in town the coffee tastes amazing 😍

01/06/2026: Lovely afternoon tea. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem which spoilt our experience was the children which were running at speed around the place. Apart from anything else it was dangerous and nobody seemed to be bothered about them.
