Hannons Hotel in Roscommon

After a wedding, we only spent a few hours at this hotel to get some sleep. It is a cosy, rural and clean hotel with very friendly staff. We can’t comment on the food or other facilities, as we had to leave before breakfast was served. We would nevertheless like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the hotel for its service. In the rush, my wife had left her jewellery in the bathroom. We sent an email to the hotel and the jewellery was posted to our home without any problems. Thank you so much once again for this.

Was in the hotel for dinner a few times the staff was very nice and wasnt left waiting. The food was delicious also

We had an excellent Easter lunch at Hannons. There were 11 in our party, 6 adults, 3 children and 2 babies. The staff, service and food were all top class. They even went out and sourced a second high chair (on Easter Monday) because one of theirs had gotten broken. I was so impressed with the service - they prioritized serving the children and were sensible enough to keep hot plates and pots of water out of reach of the babies. It spoke to a well-run establishment with well-trained staff. All the food we had was delicious and reasonably priced. Superb work. Would highly recommend. We will be back.

I would like to pass on my sincere compliments to the wonderful staff who were working in the hotel this evening, Sunday 15th March 2026. We had booked a table for 6pm to celebrate Mother’s Day. Unfortunately I did not get the names of the staff members, but there were a number of young men and women serving this evening. From start to finish, the service they provided was fantastic. Their manners and professionalism were extremely impressive, and they were so polite and accommodating throughout our visit. We had everything we needed, the service was very prompt, and the food was absolutely delicious—so please also pass on my compliments to the chef. I simply wanted to take a moment to recognise the excellent service we received. It is not often that staff receive the recognition they truly deserve, and I felt it was important to acknowledge the great work of your team this evening. Well done to you all, and thank you for making our Mother’s Day celebration so enjoyable.

Spotless... had a really comfortable overnight stay here. Room was massive. Decor a little dated but spotless. Bed really comfortable and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was delicious. My favourite aspect however was how quiet it was ! Would highly recommend

The rooms and furniture are not the best During my check-in, the receptionist was in hurry and cold, not only with me, there was another customer before me and he received the same treatment. The next day in the morning, two young members of the staff (in the breakfast area) changed my prescription of the hotel, and then at the checkout, the warmest greetings from the old lady (I think she's the owner).
