16/03/2025: Very nice place. Great atmosphere, there is a gym for those who like to exercise constantly, Spa and jacuzzi. The food in the restaurant is really delicious. Quiet and peaceful place. I recommend 😁

03/02/2025: Had the most fantastic dinner. Had the steak sandwich and I didn't even need a knife it was so tender. We were a party of 12 and the staff were so attentive we couldn't fault them. We will be back.

28/02/2025: What a lovely café, we stopped in here passing through castlerea and what a treat! The food was delicious I got a goat cheese and roasted red pepper wrap and my partner got the pulled pork bap! The staff also were lovely!! What a great spot! We will be back again

16/03/2025: We ordered the burgers - it noted on the menu that the burger came with veg, mash and chips. It didn’t say there was gravy on the burger! So we had the impression that it was your bog standard beef burger with a bun and onions etc. however what we got was a beef patty covered in gravy and onions. We were disappointed by the lack of description on the menu - you order a burger and think you’re getting a burger, not a beef patty with gravy…. It’s disappointing that we had to leave a bad review as the service was quick and generally the food wasn’t too bad of quality, however it wasn’t what we expected it would be. We weren’t asked at any point or when paying the bill how we found our food - usually this is common practice. A little disappointing to be honest and would put us off returning again 👎🏻

01/03/2025: I visited The Fiddler’s Elbow tonight, Friday, at around 20:46, hoping for a pleasant dinner. To my surprise, I was immediately informed that the kitchen was closed—even though they advertise that it’s open until 9 pm (see photo!) When I asked for clarification on the closing time, I was told that it’s a strict rule to close at quarter to, which is incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered issues here. On a recent visit, our menus were literally thrown at us as the waitress walked away, leaving us feeling disrespected and ignored. The service, overall, has been consistently slow and unresponsive. It seems like they rely on slow cookers to manage the orders, which only adds to the delay!!!???? 🤷 After tonight’s experience, I don’t see myself returning. The repeated disregard for advertised hours and the consistently poor service have finally become too much.

04/12/2024: Did a two hour drive just to come to here and watch a match and the whole place was just spectacular. Drinks were amazing, pool table was cheaper than most places, staff were excellent and super friendly and on top of it all, they played more than one match on the tvs. This is by far the best pub I’ve ever been to

23/02/2025: We had a gorgeous dinner on our eldest daughter's 17th birthday. We booked the table in advance and I'm glad we did as the place was quite busy, being on a Friday evening. The food was absolutely gorgeous, with deserts to die for! Lovely, friendly staff. Absolutely recommend this place!!
