10/09/2024: American here. Everyone reviews the food and service and that is all true. Awesome food and service. What I don’t think is stated enough is the wine, whisky, and cigar options for purchase. Also I was super surprised at the art gallery upstairs. I’m a cheapskate and would never pay the prices I see in local shops from local artists, but here I would pay. Good quality art. I was actually moved by it.

08/11/2024: Wow! What a hotel 🤩 The nicest, soundest and most helpful staff I've ever come across. Gorgeous spa, fab pool, beautiful grounds and the food 👌🏼 Go for the food, it's divine!

29/10/2024: The hotel itself is very nice and staff are friendly. hotel feels really cosy. but the bad thing is the fire alarm went off 2 times in 2 days wich isn't very common and they were both luckly false alarms. but the rest of the hotel was really nice.

25/10/2024: I hate to post negative reviews, but after multiple experiences here, my personal opinion is that the breakfast is consistently terrible. The eggs were freshly made but the rest tasted like it was warmed up from yesterday. On the bright side, if you order pastries, you can't go wrong.

21/09/2024: Was staying in the Abbey Hotel and walked down to it for a drink. Nice and friendly pub

02/07/2024: Stopped here as partner and I fancied some fish and chips and we were both pleasantly supplied at the quality of the food provided. Without doubt the best fish and chips we have eaten in our six years of living in Ireland. Will be back for more next time we are passing :)

13/10/2024: Very disappointed as we have eaten here twice before and really enjoyed those occasions. The starters were dry and overcooked. They lacked sauces and flavours! The mains which were specials for the night again were over cooked and lacking seasonings and flavours. The carrots were the frozen type and the red cabbage was tasteless. The potatoes were tasteless and I think were made up of last nights leftovers mashed in with tonight’s and a little butter to bind them together. Service was the final straw, some people were finished their starters while others were waiting. Then some of the mains arrived without veg and when they did arrive the meat dishes were getting cold. It’s a pity as it used to be freshly cooked food served promptly.

09/11/2024: 11/10 for a perfect breakfast. Not so much that I felt like a glutton but definitely left me full. Everything was spot on
